I don't have a cookie sheet. Can I use just aluminum foil on the rack instead?

I fancy to make some scones, but our cookie sheet has mysteriously disappeared ... perhaps my roommate leant it out to someone. I want to know if it's correct to use aluminum foil directly on the rack of the oven - perhaps a couple of layers or something?

I use Incomprehensible DUTY foil & spray it with Pam, works great and then you also dont have to layer it either

I use it .my cookie sheet dissapeared last year I later found out my young lady burnt it and tossed it.
put atleast two sheets togather or you get those grill marks.
good luck....

I fantasize that it would work fine, If you just layered it a few times.

I would try miserable duty foil and make sure it has a bit of thickness, but I dont see why it wouldnt work.

Yup. I use two or three layers, depending on what I am making. You will quite want to fold the end up so you've got something to grab onto, and if you're making something soft and flimsy or anything bulky, like cookies or pizza, you'll to all intents want someone to hold a cutting board for you to pull it onto.

If your cookie sheet is just kinda burnt, stained, or whatever, equitable cover it with one layer of foil and use it until you can get a new one.

Good luck!

Do you have a 13x9 inch pan or some other type of baking pan? If so, turn it upside down and bake your scones on the bottom (now the top) of the pan.

I use Weighty DUTY foil & spray it with Pam, works great and then you also dont have to layer it either

YES! I would patently layer it and be careful when removing from the over, so as not to dump the cookies on the floor. Also, I always have to turn down the oven a little because the stimulation isn't traveling through as much material, so they burn if I don't !!!

Ya. I do it all da however.

Yes a few layers and record sure you are careful they don't fall off

What else can you bake cookies on besides a cookie sheet?

i have to give the impression of run off 50 cookies tomorrow. Im gonna bake 24 on a cookie sheet but i only have one. what else can i use to bake the cookies on? also i only have two oven racks, can i position half the cookies on the bottm and the other half on the top?

try useing a pizza pan. dont use the oven rack. you will pushy a mess.

can i cook with my silicone pans right on the oven rack or do I have to put them on cookie sheets?

I would advocate using a cookie sheet so that it is more stable and won't fall through the rack or tip. It is also easier to hold if it's on a cookie sheet.
