Should my silicone baking sheet turn dark? Will silicone affect baking time?

I merely used my new silicone baking sheet to make some oven potatoes, and half of it turned dark brown. The color wont dig off. Also, it took half the time for the potatoes to cook. Is this normal? Will it happen with all of my dishes?

I have several types of silicone mats. They all have turned brown here and there. I can't get the stains out either. However, everything still bakes in the same pass.

I have three brands of silicone baking mats and industry in a restaurant. Every pad has changed color a bit, but it doesn't affect the baking time at all.

how many boxes of cake mix would i need to bake a full sheet half choclate, half vanilla cake??

please aid??? my soon to be 6 year old son birthday is coming in 2 weeks and he wants a half chocolate half vanilla pastry but in a full sheet. i want to bake it,but i have no idea how many boxes of each mix i would need, nor do i have any good recipes, so could any one please help? please?

I'm not reliable of the exact size of your pan. I use this info from wilton.com a lot. It tells you how many cups of batter you need for different sized pans, cooking then and temp., and how much icing you need to frost your cake. I find it very helpful. I put the info on the back of my recipe card for buttercream frosting.

If you need a recipe for really good icing, this is it. This frosting is the A-one ever!

Buttercream Icing

½ c. shortening
½ c. butter
1 t. vanilla
4 c. powdered sugar (approx. 1 lb)
2 T. exploit

Cream butter & shortening with mixer. Add vanilla. Gradually add sugar, one cup at a time, beating well on everyday speed. Scrape sides and bottom of bowl often. When all sugar had been mixed in, icing will appear dry. Add milk and belabour at medium speed until light and fluffy. Keep icing covered with a damp cloth until ready to use. For greatest results, keep icing bowl in refrigerator when not in use. Refrigerated in an airtight container, this icing can be stored 2 weeks. Rewhip before using. Capitulate: 3 cups

For chocolate icing:
Add 6 T. unsweetened cocoa & 1 T. additional milk to each 1 ½ c. anaemic icing. Mix until well blended.

It's sweet that you're making such an effort to make his birthday perfect.

If I am baking a cake that is half chocolate and half vanilla in the same pan, how do I seperate them?

I am baking a full sheet chunk, and am making it half chocolate and half vanilla, but I'm not sure how to seperate the two flavors in the pan during baking, does anyone know what I can use to seperate them? I have checked several stores for some classification of seperator, but couldn't find anything.

Wood a piece of cardboard in he center of the pan....pour in one flavor batter on one side....the other flavor on the other...then beyond pull out the cardboard....try not to move the pan around to much on its way to the oven.
one side will be chocolate the other vanilla...the center may be a little "marble", but I'm certain it'll be great!!!
