I have an aluminum cookie sheet and baked cookies on.?

The modus operandi, Easy Sugar cookies in Yahoo! Food, called for ungreased cookie sheet. Well I did that and followed the directons as I was put it together and it not only the cookies was glued to the sheet it also burned to brown color. The programme also called for the oven to be 375 degrees for about 8-10 minutes. Help anyone.
P.S My oven is an electric oven.
I also forgot to divulge I dont have a cooling wire rack. Any sugestions there?

Coming reference, line your cookie sheets with parchment. No stick, easy clean up and you will never set on fire your cookies either.

Later reference, line your cookie sheets with parchment. No stick, easy clean up and you will never char your cookies either.

Dialect mayhap you didn't put enough butter on your cookies. Also, if you leave them in there for too long they will stick. I never really leave my cookies for the time the modus operandi tells me. I just keep an eye on them and see when they look ready to me and its usually less than the given time. Also, take your cookies out of the oven to cool. If you have as a remainder them inside they will continue baking even if you have the oven off. It could also be that you didn't use the right cookie sheet. If it was a shiny one, more than disposed to that's why they got stuck. Usually the dull colored cookie sheets are stick-free

Your oven temperature may be peculiar you may want to check it - sounds like it is too hot. Try baking on a lower temperature say 325.

I detestation electric ovens as their temperature settings can vary. Gas stoves are more precise. I would have lightly covered the sheet with a baking sprinkling. This wouldn't have hurt a thing. I always lightly spray my baking dishes whether the recipe calls for it or not.

Another tip is to pick the cookies just as the outside edges turn brown....wait 2 minutes, then spray a spatula with cooking blanket and transfer cookies to a piece of parchment paper or even a bendable cutting board. That way, they won't stick.

Get a commercial sheet pan from a restaurant cater to store, or from Williams Sonoma, and an oven temp gage. You'll need a cooling lash at if you are serious about baking.

can i put a sheet of aluminum foil on my baking sheet before baking cookies?

i am making cookies and my baking sheets are horrid. Will the cookies bake properly if i put them on a baking sheet with foil?

They should presumably be ok. If you have any parchment paper, that's a better choice. And in the future, using parchment paper every circumstance will protect your baking sheets. Or if you bake often enough, you might look into getting a silpat. It's a special nice of material that virtually nothing will stick to, and it's easy to clean.

Silpat silicone sheet pan liner; Bake cookies longer or shorter?

I fianc my new Silpat sheet pan liner. It keeps the bottoms of my cookies from getting too dark because they don't get so hot on the sheet pan. They also slide off like spell. However....a cookie that usually take 10 - 12 minutes doesn't look done in the same amount of time. If I bake them until productive, they are hard as a rock and dry.

How do I adjust the time for baking cookies on my Silpat Silicone pan liner???

I often use either silpat liners or parchment publication and don't find the need to adjust the temp or baking time at all. Maybe just let the cookies rest on the sheet after removing them from the oven.
