This Saturday I am customary to a cook-out and was asked to bring dessert. I was wondering what is a good dessert to bring to a cook-out. I don't want to cause something too hard or with tons of ingredients. I do want to make something easy to eat and looks good. If you have any suggestions, please state me. Thank you.
A quite great hot-weather dessert that is VERY easy to make is an ice cream sandwich pie. Just cover the bottom of a casserole dish or solidify pan with store-bought ice cream sandwiches. (Cut them to fill in spaces if need be.) Then spread whipped cream over the top and you can go frenzied with whatever you want to put on top -- candy pieces, caramel, fudge, peanut butter, etc. Freeze for at least an hour before bringing it your soir. You'll get rave reviews - I always do!!

Brownies, cookies and cupcakes are always participation held things that are easier to make...you could also make something fun like a fruit salad...fruit kabobs....or a seasonal cheesecake squares.

Cookies, or you could coerce cinnamon buns, the kind you buy at the grocery store and just cut and bake quickly.

fruit desserts are always adept for cookouts, like strawberry shortcakes.. and those are VERY easy, especially if you buy the cakes! Then all you need is fresh strawberries and whipcream!
Also you will ALWAYS be a victor with chocolate-covered strawberries! And those are so simple!

Stuffed Angel Eats Cake
1 Store bought AFC
1/2 Q of whipping cream(chilled brrr very cold)
cocoa(to soup)
2 Tbls powder sugar(more or less to taste start small to adjust to your taste sry I never measure)
In trundle whip cream for a whipped cream texture and add powder sugar then add cocoa . Cut cake in half add whipped cream(within and outside). I hollow out middle of cake to add more cream. I also add strawberries or what berries are in season. OR you could add frozen berries or none at all. This is always a big hit at cook outs for me never any formerly larboard overs. Or just buy the choco flavor whipped topping(cool whip) and add to AFC. This is a time saver.

How about a big, tossed fruit salad? Only cut up lots of summer fruit, melons, peaches, grapes etc. Toss it with just some lemon spirit and a little sugar, that's all it needs, people usually really appreciate it.

Being summer yet, whenever I go to a cook out I like to take advantage of the fruits that are in season :)
Reserve a handful of the prettiest whole strawberries and blackberries for topping the trifle.
Hull and halve the uneaten strawberries, and toss them with the sugar in a medium bowl, cover with plastic wrap and set aside until they get interesting, about 1 hour. (If you're in a hurry, set the bowl over a pot of simmering water for about 5 minutes to speed this up.)
Whip the cream in a chilled basin until it holds soft peaks. Fold the elderflower syrup into the cream and keep chilled until ready to rally the trifle.
Tear or cut the angel food cake into 2-inch pieces. Scatter about half the congeal on the bottom of a trifle dish or clear glass bowl. Ladle half of the berries and their juices on top of the cube, and then top with half the whipped cream. Repeat with the remaining cake, berries and cream to finish the fidget with. Garnish the top of the trifle with the reserved whole berries and refrigerate for 2 and up to 24 hours. Serve chilled.
I undeniably have the thing for you I hope I am answering in time. Put this together at the cookout unless the outing is in someones backyard. You'll essential a large bowl for this. Buy pound cake, can of crushed pineapple, can of cherry pie filling, vanilla pudding, remote whip. On the bottom place pound cake top this with pudding you can buy this already make then cover with pineapple another layer of pounding cake cover this with cherry pie filling cover this with the cool whip. Sooooo good. You spoon it out.

Dash of salt
1/2 to 1 cup chopped nuts(unrequisite) 1-1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Chocolate-Covered Cheesecake Strawberries
Strawberries are dipped in a prepared no-bake cheesecake m. After it sets, the berries are dipped in melted chocolate to create the second layer.
1 box of any brand of no-bake cheesecake (Box mostly calls for milk that is added to the mix; you will not need to use the crust mix here.)
2, 16 oz. packages of medium to large strawberries, cleaned but with the verdant tops still attatched.
1 container of Dolce or Baker's brand chocolate pieces for dipping fruit.
Paint and dry strawberries; they must be completely dry before beginning. Lay them out on trays or cookie sheets covered with wax paper, spacing them about 1 to 1 1/2 inches aside.
Prepare the cheesecake mix according to directions on the box. Let mixture set for 3-5 minutes at room temperature, until it thickens slight. Grab the strawberries, one at a time by their tops, and dip them into the cheesecake mix, covering them to just under where to leafy tops breather.
Place back on the tray and refrigerate for 10-15 minutes. This will help set the cheesecake.
After this time, remove the tray from the refrigerator, and set aside. Assuage the chocolate for dipping as directed on the package.
Take the strawberries, and while the chocolate is still runny, dip the cheesecake-covered strawberries, one by one, into it, creating a assign (chocolate) layer.
Place the strawberries back on the tray and refrigerate for 30 minutes, or until ready to oblige.
Notes: If you don't want to add the layer of melted chocolate, these berries are still wonderful just covered in the cheesecake. If you are serving more that 10 people, you may demand to double the recipe. Trust me, your friends and family won't be able to put these down!
Number of servings: allows 2-3 strawberries each for generally 10 people

I am SOOO big on Trifles lately...deft, easy, cheap, serves a lot.
Here is my latest invention, quick and easy and reasonable.
Peanut Butter Cup Drop
1 box dark chocolate brownie mix
2 small boxes of instant pudding mix (choc. or chocolate fudge)
1 cup peanut butter
16 oz. Forbidding Whip
6-8 peanut butter cups
Make brownies according to box instructions, cool. Deliquesce peanut butter in microwave for about 30 second, stir in pudding mix and milk (3 cups rather than 4 listed on the box).
In Gewgaw or other bowl, layer 1/2 brownies, 1/2 the pudding mixture then 1/2 of the Cool Overcome - repeat. Chop up peanut butter cups and place on top. Enjoy!
You don't have to be neat to do this and it always looks close! By chopping the peanut butter cups up, it decorates the Cool Whip on top without doing anything fancy with a decorator and it travels well. You scarcely spoon it out with a big spoon and it all mixes together in a bowl and tastes great.
Approx. cost is about $5-6 depending on your arrondissement/grocery store prices. (I buy brownie mixes when they go on sale for 99 cents and keep a few on hand - same with pudding).
I simply served this to 8 lifeguards and they raved over it...I've also made it for a bridal shower, a school event, and other home parties.
I faith you have a blast at your cookout.

What dessert wines or liquors pair well with anything chocolate?
Feb 03, 2009 by ursaitaliano70 | Posted in Beer, Wine & Spirits
I am making up a cumshaw basket with dessert chocolates and chocolate filled cookies and cakes. I am including a premium roast bag of coffee. What types and / or brands of dessert wines or cordials would you hint at?
Eeew, asti spumante is tooo sticky and too grapey, it would cover up the taste of chocolate. If you are going for that, why not just go for champagne???? Moet Leading light is a reasonably priced one.
I am not a big fan of beer with dessert, either.
If you are going for something heavier, why not the classic....brandy or cognac??? Remy Martin Red I reflect on is the more reasonably priced one but I am not sure about that. All are fine, cognacs are well controlled. If it has the title "cognac," you can stay assured that it comes from the Cognac region of France, and its quality controlled.
Oakiness is the charm of cognac. However, if you find cognac a bit too oakey (I all things considered do...) ....then go for brandy or a fine bourbon, instead.
A delicious and reasonably priced brandy is a German one called Asbach Uralt. If you go to Switzerland, you will find Lindt chocolates filled with cognac. If you go to Germany, you will find chocolates filled with Asbach brandy.
My favorite bourbon is called Blanton's, but there are many valid ones, like Maker's Mark.
Try some of these taste combinations yourself!!
