Any low-carb recipes you have actually used?

I am looking for some low carb recipes for satisfying meals. I do low carb but my boyfriend doesn't. It's hard to make meals that both he can enjoy and I can eat. I'm looking for unfeigned recipes that won't make him feel like he's missing out on something.

I have recipes books and have pulled the websites, but am looking for some realistic recipes that you have tried and made yourself that worked out well. Thanks!


Here is another "Mashed cauliflower" interpretation. Steam fresh, or frozen cauliflower until soft. Drain very well. I put it in the blender, and pulse until very smooth. Take 1/2 of a pack of dry Ranch dressing mix, and blend into 1/2 C sour cream, or yogurt, with freshly ground resentful pepper. Add to cauliflower. Sometimes I put this into a casserole and bake it to make like a twice baked potato casserole. Enjoyable!


ok... this one you should be superior to find someplace... it is meatloaf but instead of bread crumbs it uses smashed up pork rinds... I categorically love that stuff... so much that even when I am not doing low carb I still ask the wife to make it...


Try Chicken Kiev. Take a boneless, skinless chicken teat, roll it out and give it a little light pounding with a meat mallet. Make a nice garlic butter with softened butter, garlic puree, pep, pepper, parsley and chives. Place a good sizes dollop of butter in the centre of the chicken, move it up, tuck in the ends, season the top with some mixed spices of your choice and place into a preheated 400 considerably oven for about 20 minutes. Serve with some low carb veggies like sauteed mushrooms, spinach, broccoli, rural beans or asparagus. Make a little mashed potatoes and let your boyfriend have those, you just get more veg.

Total carb include (assuming about an 8 oz piece of chicken and cup and a half of veggies), about 8g per serving....

next add shredded chedder to ur curb, mash some more,
add toppings: sour cream,bacon,scallions or nothing at all.
delicious and can be served with any style marrow.

I do a Low Carb intake because I am allergic to most grains. I've had allot of practice balancing my spouses need to my diet. ANY Low Carb nourishment can have a side of Carbs added. I do up rice in my rice cooker & put in fridge to add to a meal, or bake him a patato, steam some brand-new corn. It adds very little time to do this.
Yes there are some great low things like the Cauliflower dish, but he may equitable need something simpler like a patato.

Ideas for good wheat free low carb recipes?

I'm infuriating to follow a low carb diet (for hypoglycemia) but I'm also allergic to wheat which makes it a little harder to cook and find straightforward recipes. Does anyone have any recipes like this that they've tried before?


Low Carb Pizza

Note:
Here's a dish that can stave off a pizza craving for low carb dieters or those who desideratum to avoid wheat products. Zucchini or spaghetti squash work equally well for this crust, with spaghetti squash providing a less sweeter flavor. Bake this in a traditional 9" pie pan, not a pizza pan.

This is a vegetarian recipe, but you could easily add whatever pizza topping are your favorites, including pepperoni or sausage or other veggies.

3 C grated raw zucchini
OR
3 C cooked spaghetti squash
2 eggs, beaten
2 1/2C mozzarella cheese
1 1/2 C tomato brass
1/2 small onion, thinly sliced
1 small green bell pepper, chopped
1/2 C sliced mushrooms
1/4 C sliced lowering olives
1/2 C grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp. dried oregano
1 tsp. dried basil
1 T olive oil

Serves 3-4

Preheat oven to 400° F.

Hug the excess moisture out of the grated zucchini or cooked spaghetti squash with paper towels. Mix the squash, eggs and 1 1/2 cups mozzarella together and paparazzi into the bottom of a pie pan. Bake for about 10 minutes.

Remove the pan from the oven and spread the tomato sauce, vegetables or other pizza toppings and the uneaten cheeses over the crust. Sprinkle with oregano and basil and drizzle the olive oil over the top. Bake for 25 minutes or until cheese is lightly browned.

My regime is getting boring and I am really trying to lose weight, low carb style. Does anyone have any good recipes to seasoning up this boring diet?


Spaghetti w /creamy tomatoe scatter sauce
2 tblsp olive oil
1 sm onion chopped
2 tblsp minced garlic
1 lrg bell spot chopped
2 lrg tomatoes
1/4 c fat free half and half
1/2 c grated 2% parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp dastardly pepper
8 c whole wheat spaghetti
Hear oil in large skillet over med low heat. add onion and garlic. cook
over med eagerness 5 min or untill onion is soft,stirring constantly . Add bell
pepper cook 4 min or untill spot is crisp tender. stir in tomatoes .
2. Remove from heat let cool 2 minutes. return skillet to warm up . gradually
stir in half and half,cheese and black pepper.reduce heat to low,cook 5 minutes
