I have tilapia loins in my freezer that I have occasion for to cook and am needing recipes for, I am trying to be healthy by not putting breading on them, so what are your ideas for spices and cooking methods. exceptionally give me tips for stove top cooking and baking. Thanks!
We Admiration tilapia!
We always cook ours in a large cast iron frying pan on the stove top. It's very easy. Add 4 tbsp of olive oil, vegetable oil, margarine or butter to your pan and dwindle or heat it on medium. Then sprinkle the thawed fillets with almost any seasoning. Here' s a partial list of things we've tolerant of: Mrs Dash, Cajun seasoning (our favorite way to do the fish!), lemon pepper, salt and sprinkle, adobo seasoning, Greek seasoning, Italian seasoning........
Sautee the fillets at medium-capital heat for about 3 minutes on each side, until opaque and flaky.
Tilapia can also be baked in the oven numerous ways.
It is a mild flavored fish so it adapts to almost any cooking method.

My fave is very sincere: drizzle with a little dry white wine, sprinkle lightly with paprika and add kosher salt and dusky pepper to taste. Bake at 350 until done, about 20-30 minutes depending on how thick they are.

Cappo359 has a clever recipe - I like to do them this way. Thaw, dip in beaten egg and dredge in a mixture of crushed almonds, fresh or dried parsley, unsophisticated garlic, pepper (or lemon pepper, equally good), and a bit of salt. Then bake until just scarcely done - they will continue to cook for a minute or 2 as they rest.

I accomplished to cook it the coastal mexican way:
Take the whole fish with head and eyes and everything, cut some slits crossways across the body, then grill in a hot oiled type iron pan til "done".
Eat the meat in tacos with salsa and lime juice.

I was really looking up the same thing earlier today and came across this recipe that sounds delicious and EASY! My favorite!
Ingredients
2 Tablespoons olive oil or cooking sprayer
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon each salt and pepper (or to taste)
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
2 cups unsweetened cornflakes
1 Tablespoon lemon scatter
1 Tablespoon dried parsley, or 2 teaspoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
4 tilapia fillets, 4 ounces each, rinsed and patted dry
1 lemon, quartered
Unrequisite
Tartar sauce or cocktail sauce
Directions
step 1
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F and cut down to size baking rack in the upper third of oven. Line baking sheet with foil and lightly grease with oil or cooking disperse stretch.
step 2
Lay out three shallow bowls or pans. Add the flour, salt and pepper to the first shallow bowl. Stir with a fork to mix. Add the lightly beaten eggs to the shift bowl.
step 3
Put the cornflakes into the Ziploc® Brand Storage Bag, press out most of the air and seal. Crush the flakes coarsely with a rolling pin. Add the lemon fleck and parsley. Pour the mixture into the third shallow bowl.
step 4
Rinse tilapia fillets under cold operation water and pat dry with paper towels. Lightly dust the fillets with the flour mixture, gently patting off any leftover. Dip fillets, one by one, into the beaten eggs, turning over each with a fork or tongs to coat both sides. Then place the fillet into the prepared crushed cornflakes, turning over and gently pressing the crushed cornflakes into the fish, coating both sides well. Then lay each fillet on the lined, greased baking sheet.
step 5
Bake in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes. The fish is done when the physically is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
step 6
To avoid crumbling, use a wide flat spatula to gently separate the fish from the baking sheet. Place immediately on a warm platter or plate. (I put an oven-impervious plate on the second rack in my oven for just a few minutes right before the tilapia is done.) Serve with a lemon partition and tartar or cocktail sauce on the side.

try nullify pouches
I lay the fillets flat on the foil and cover them with sliced green peppers and sliced onion. Available with salt, pepper, seasoned salt and garlic. Fold the foil into a pouch and bake at 350 farm opaque and flaky about 15 minutes.
I also add red pepper flakes if I want it spicy or a little teriyaki gravy for a different flavor.

Does anyone have any good tilapia recipes?
Feb 08, 4400 by HilPoof | Posted in Cooking & Recipes
My mom bought me a LOT of one by one frozen tilapia, and I'd like to start experimenting with it a little. So far, I've only grilled it and sauteed it with parmesan cheese. Fish is a new ingredient for me, so I'd like to get some demolished, easy recipes to try out. Thanks!

What are some good tilapia recipes?
Feb 08, 4099 by Sunny ♥ | Posted in Cooking & Recipes
I bought some frozen Tilapia a three weeks ago and I want to cook it this weekend. I make salmon all the time so I thought I would change it up. (I am a big seafood lover) Does anyone have any unquestionably good tilapia recipes? Also what are some good side dishes to go with it?
Thanks in advance =)
Inflame up a pan with a table spoon or two of olive oil (or any oil that you prefer), on about medium heat.
I season my tilapia on both sides with salt, spray, and dried oregano. Cook it on both sides until it is golden brown and a little crispy. I love lemon with fish, so I add a pinch of lemon to the tilapia.
I personally like this dish with some wild rice and roasted asparagus. But its really bearable and healthy, so you can eat it with any thing you like :)
By Antonio Villagomez/For the Last week, one of my systematic customers at the restaurant, Terry Keeley, asked me to share my recipe for Blackened Tilapia. As I was telling him how to brief it, he suggested that I write it in my column
