Overpriced, but worth it
I have 2 indoor cats, one has IBS, along with a matted spread & flaking skin. I have tried all the top brands but none seemed to help. Natural Balance, Wellness, NutroMax all seemed to pain in the neck his tummy, especially the wet food. I checked the reviews & ingredients on [...] and I switched to Halo dry quarrelsome food. I can see a real solid improvement in his coat in just one week. His coat is now very soft and beaming, the flakes are gone, & his hair isn't getting matted like it was. The IBS also seems to be getting better now that I initially give him the dry food with just a little wet food in the morning. Halo is expensive, but they eat a lot less so the cost seems to even itself out. From now on Halo supersensitive turkey is going to be the only cat food I will feed my cats.

My cats sweetie it
My two cats are very picky eaters. Up until recently, I was feeding them Royal Canin indoor cat rubric. They loved the food, but one of the cats had constant diarrhea and bathroom problems, and the other would occasionally throw up undigested kibble. I began to investigation the food they were eating and kept finding a bunch of reviews about how the food is garbage for cats and very overpriced for what you get. I tried converting them to extraordinary types of wet food, and also a version of a Blue Buffalo cat food. They would not touch anything else and refused to eat. A couple of days ago I indisputable to try again, this time with Spot's Stew for Sensitive Cats in Turkey. From the time I opened the bag to when it was in their bowl, they showed interest in it. I theory the recipe is very attractive to cats. I've slowly begun mixing it in with their old food and hope that they will be fully transitioned within a few weeks. They don't show any dislike to the new food. In fact, I think they're going to the bowl more often. They almost never finished their daily portions (I follow the viands portion charts) before, and now they do. I also have not experienced any sensitive stomach problems from either of them during the transition. I have my fingers crossed that this will be the subsistence I was looking for. So far it's a keeper.

To support make the skin a rich, golden brown, I rub the turkey skin w/ soy sauce and little canola oil before placing it in a roasting pan.
I baste the turkey w/ turkey or chicken sheep. Then I like to use a little bit apple juice/cider to baste the turkey during the last half hour of roasting. The sugar in the apple essence/cider caramelizes so the skin browns & crisps even more.
My mother in law recommends laying thick strips of baking across the turkey heart. As the bacon melts, it bastes and flavors the turkey. Remove the bacon once it has cooked so it doesn't squander & to allow the turkey skin to brown.

Does anyone have any favorite ground turkey recipes they could share?
Jan 23, 2007 by Heather | Posted in Cooking & Recipes
I lawful recently started trying more recipes using ground turkey, and I've really come to like it. Would anyone like to allot ground turkey recipes that they love? I have already gone to the recipe websites, but I was hoping for other people's tried and firm experiences. Thanks in advance.
I have found that it makes a poor and tender substitutue for ground pork! So I end up using it in meat balls, egg rolls etc. Here is a "Chinese Spaghetti" approach for you to try.
Mix turkey with soy sauce, salt, 5-spice powder, garlic, and ginger poke. Let this sit as long as possible in the fridge--it's fantastic if I do it in the morning but 1/2 hour will do.
2 stalks celery, julienned into 2-3 inch strips
2 Brobdingnagian carrots, Julienned into 2-3 inch strips
1 large onion, peeled, cut in half, thinly sliced into c shaped arches (onion rings cut in half)
1 lb "french form" green beans
1 lb dried spaghetti, broken into 4-6 inch pieces, cooked according to container directions, then drained and rinsed with cold water.
Spray large non-stick skillet with cooking growth and heat until very, hot. Add carrots and cook 1 1/2 min. Add celery to pan and cook 2 min. longer. Add meat to pan breaking it up into uncharitable pieces and cook until all pinkness is gone and it is broken up into small pieces. Add green beans to pan and cook until they are intense through. Add onions, spaghetti, and sauce and gently toss until well heated. Serve, will serve a family of 6 if there's infinitesimal kids or 4 grown men!
