So where did the basis "bake" or "baking" come from. (IM talking about getting high bake, not cooking or anything.
this is a comprehensive guess..but do you remember those early anti drug commercials with an egg in a pan and they said this is your brain on drugs..thats what i facsimile when i hear to bake so maybe it came form there
I penury to make a crust out of chocolate animal cracker crumbs, the traditional add butter way (think I'll gap the sugar). Usually when making this kind of crust I bake it for a short amount of time. I'm components it with a no-bake filling, and it will be refridgerated. Do I still have to bake the crust to set it, or will it hold together without baking? It's not a problem to bake it, it's just hot today and I'd rather not round the oven on if I don't have to.
It will keep back together better if you bake it, but it's not absolutely necessary to bake it.
I fancy to bake a cheesecake in a deeper pan than a regular 2 inch springform pan. Like in a 4 inch deep pan. I want it to be taller than natural. How should I adjust the temprature and baking time? I'm guessing lower heat at a longer baking patch. And if I use a regular baking pan rather than a spring form pan, should I just grease it really good so it'll discharge easier? Or maybe use wax or parchment paper to line the bottom?
You have the right-mindedness idea.
I would butter the pan, add a round of parchment to the bottom and then butter the parchment. I would very lightly dust the whole pan with flour and lose out the excess.
I would then follow your idea of reducing the heat with a longer baking time.
Still I would be concerned about getting it out of the pan. Cheesecake is not reduced to make. I still recommend buying a 4-5 inch springform pan. I'm not unswerving how you would unmold the cheesecake from a regular pan. Perhaps carefully inverting it onto a plate with a piece of parchment on top would be your only way out. You could crush the top of the cake however.
