For the full class please stop: www.foodmatters.tv After producing 'Food Matters' we have received hundreds of emails from people asking ...

Can anyone suggest a good cooking class located in Southern California, preferrably L.A. area/beach cities? My friend and I prerequisite to take a cooking class (any cuisine) and what we have found so far are either SUPER expensive or really cheap but not hands on (you just watch them make a victuals).
Basically, we want a hands-on, reasonably priced cooking class.
Any suggestions/experiences are appreciated!
:)
I well recommend Epicurean. I've had a client event there and taken some classes. All the chefs have been great and its very hands-on.
It isn't tinpot...but I think its pretty reasonable.

I yearn for to organize an intensive Italian Cooking Class. I want to know from you what you would like to learn, how you would like it to be.
I was thinking about convergence twice a week for three weeks, for two hours ( 7-9pm) time to eat what we prepared included.
is this too much time, or too thimbleful?
This class would also explore psychological features of eating and would link the cooking experience with cultural facts ( hystory of recipes, cities and landscapes in Italy when they are made...)
do you evaluate you would be interested?
please send me any suggestions you have , or simply your dreams!
thank you!
I create all of that sounds like a fantastic idea. Maybe on your part you could get a local Italian specialty store to cure with set up costs or supplying food and in turn you could take the people to that shop to show them the goods and perhaps include a small charity voucher for them to spend there. So many people get the basics in Italian wrong like how to cook pasta well and go overboard making sauces when they are in as a matter of actual fact best kept simple. Tiramisu would be good to learn and a good hearty lasagna or eggplant parmigiana. I like people teaching me to talk about their mistakes in the finished as they are often amusing and what NOT to do can be as important as what to do.
I categorically want to take a cooking class to improve my cooking skills but when I try to find a class all I end up with are classes at Culinary Schools. Any suggestions?
