How long to cook ribs in oven?

I'm cooking beef straight ribs in the oven at 250 degrees. I am cooking a very large quantity. I would know how long to cook them if it were at best a small ammount, but how long should I cook aproximatly 20 pounds of ribs?

if you are braising the shortribs, which i use you are, cover completely with the braising liquid, cover the pan in foil and cook for around 4-5 hours. start checking after about 3 hours. i value 'dubious' is talking about pork babyback ribs.. but beef shortribs are much bigger and tougher. wait they turn out great, i love braised shorties!!


Ribs do not take that yearn to cook because there is very little meat on them. The ribs should be placed single layer on baking sheets and add about 20 -30 minutes onto the customary time you had planned to cook them. Testing them for doneness...cut into one in the middle with a knife...is a foolproof way to make sure they are done.


proportions of oven is important-if ribs are standing on side + they are in a 6" deep pan season + add 3" water-substitute-@250 deg you will go for about 4 hours-ck temp-baste w/sauce as water evaps/or drain some of the aju-it really depends on how you lust after your ribs to turn out, if you want them to fall off the bone go for 6 hours but dont forget to baste them in sassiness.you can also do this w/out basting + cool them in a large pot full of sauce overnight+ re-heat next day ,but most people do not keep a 5 gal bucket of brazenness handy

To make masa for corn tortillas, you cook the corn in limewater. How can I easily make limewater? Is this just?

Is this no more than water with lime juice or do I need something more?

NOTE: I can NOT buy masa harina where I live or I wouldn't be asking this insupportable. I want to make my own masa for corn tortillas. So I need to know how to make limewater!
