what is a good brand of kitchen supplies, that are not treated with tons of chemicals?

i am contemporary to be buying kitchen supplies for my new apt, and i am going to try and avoid teflon and other harsh chemicals that the plastics or metals are treated with.

so are their any use brands for things like measuring cups, storing containers, pots, pans, perfectly normal kitchen supplies thats are not doused in chemicals?

I don't exceedingly understand your issue with things being 'doused in chemicals.' If you don't like teflon don't buy teflon pans. Its unqualifiedly pretty easy. Buy stainless steel or iron skillets. Use metal utensils.

easy

Unite to glass and stainless steen as much as you can, they're the most hygienic and safe of materials, stay clear of wood, plastics and aluminium.

try stainless bear up (sorry can't think of a good brand as i use the Teflon ones). they are not coated in chemicals but some can be coated with that persuasible wrap. just take that off and give it a good wash before u use it.

Infer from the packages.
Cast Iron Works great for cooking. Nothing bad in those.

Where can you buy really nice but cheap kitchen supplies?

I have sale-priced kitchen supplies that I used through college. I can kinda afford to upgrade to something other than plastic spatulas..lol. I need to get some nice pots and pans and cooking utensils. Do you be acquainted with of any good stores, or websites to purchase nice kitchen supplies really cheap? Thanks!

I haven't found any one beginning for inexpensive but good kitchen items but I'll give you some ideas.

1. Try looking in commercial kitchen supply stores. Or verify the commercial kitchen areas in a store like Sam's Club. I love Sam's Club for some of their kitchen things! In detailed, their 1/2 baking pans, aka cookie sheets. You can get a 2 pack of heavy aluminum pans for less than $12! They are the only cookie panel I use now! They are heavy, bake beautifully and you can take a scrubber (I use Barkeeper's Friend) to them to keep them looking good.

2. Notice of sales! I got a small set of stainless cookware on sale for nearly 1/2 of what the regular price was. I needed more lip pots and this set fit the bill. Even came with some stainless storage bowls with lids. I needed a new coffee maker, found a big one on sale for $40 at Sears, had been nearly $100.

3. Check clearance areas. One year I got 3 of the deep sided skillets (chicken fryers) in weighty duty stainless for $25. each! They had been $70. I kept one and gave the other two as Christmas gifts.
I know that particular pan is one of the ones I uses constantly! It can saute, simmer, braise with the best of them!

4. Keep an eye open at yard or garage sales. You never distinguish what you might find. I got a wonderful pastry board for $1 and an large oval casserole with lid for $5. Neither had ever been used!

Fortitude and a little legwork will pay off! Look for items that serve more than one purpose. TV Chef Alton Brown says there is only allowance for 1 "unitasker" in his kitchen - the fire extingusher! That theory not only pays off in saving money, it saves lapse because you don't have all these specialty gadgets. But on the other hand, do spend more on things like your stand mixer (you can still get them on car-boot sale!), a food processor and your knives. All three items will be in your kitchen a long time, may as well make them good and they will it worth someone's while you by actually working the way a mixer, food processor or knife should.

Oh! Speaking of knives! Learn to anguish for your own knives if you don't have someone in the family to do it for you. I use the honing steel on mine on a regular basis and when they need more attention than that, my pacify takes care of them. Honing rolls the edge back up where it belongs; using the knife rolls the inch down. A dull knife is not safe and always store your knives in a knife block or at least with cardboard sleeves on them to guard the edges and your fingers when your rooting in the drawer.

Does anyone know where to find brown, turquoise, and aqua kitchen supplies?

I am redecorating my kitchen and wanted a aqua/turquoise and brown subject-matter because it would match my new furniture. Thanks.

Maytag has a retro offerings, also viking makes a line. For appliances I would go to sears or best buy, they have the best deals for appliances. Craving that helps you out!
