Ladylike bottle opener
I bought this for my soothe for Father's Day. Good addition for the Guinness lover collection. It is very good quality and very durable. I would vouch for getting the "cap catcher" to go under it. My husband just loves it.

Very spruce bottle opener
We recently purchased a homebar and unquestioned this would be a fun way to accessorize our "pub" area. My friends had never seen anything like it before and kept saying how cool it was that they didn't have to keep asking who had the bottle opener. It's very unmistakeable and well made, and installs easily. We went ahead and bought a cap catcher to go under so we don't find bottle caps all over the place in random places the morning after! I in the final analysis like this product. Great idea!

Outstanding, but buy the cap catcher, too
If you do a lot of engaging, a wall-mounted bottle opener sure comes in handy. No more "where's the bottle opener?" But if you have a wall-mounted opener like this fine Guinness model, a cap catcher hanging below is a must. Amazon honestly should have a package with the two sold together. If you don't mind paying for two glasses and a pouring spoon, too, you can find that in the Guinness Lovers Genius Pack.

bought this as a housewarming largesse for my hubby. came in a very timely manner. it's a heavy piece also. came with mounting hardware, categorically needs no instructions- does just what i need it to do! looks great in the kitchen of our new house.

Wall mounted bottle opener?
First blunder, I didn't read these comments. This is NOT a wall mount opener. Mounted to a verticle surface this opener will place the bottle around 7 degrees from prone. In other words, pretty close to being level. Liquid will spill out, can't be avoided. Normal or correct wall mounted openers put the bottle at around 45 - 50 degrees from prone. If you plan on mounting it to a horizontal surface, like under a cabinet, then it should work fine. I plan on mounting it to the bumper of my fraternize trailer so spillage isn't a concern. Never can find a opener when camping.

"Wall mounted" does not expect "Under-the-shelf mounted"
It works mammoth when it's mounted to the bottom of a shelf, the way it's supposed to be. The thing is, when I see "wall mounted bottle opener" I expect to be able to mount it on a freakin wall. Fortunately we have a wens to put it that works just fine but for Christ sake, why don't they say "under-shelf mounted bottle opener?"

Not a wall mount
I don't cognizant of why this is called a wall mount bottle opener, had the same problem as others mounted it on a vertical wall and it spilled half the bottle of liquid.

Instructions even say "mount on straight with wall" -- never heard of an "under-counter bottle opener" but makes sense now.

How hard is it to put a correct discription or at least have instructions.

Saint Paul , Minn. – (Ammoland.com) – The 621 Pheasants Forever chapters, 103 Quail Forever chapters and 125,000 members of “The Territory Organization” nationwide completed over 22,000 wildlife habitat projects in 2009, benefitting over 500,000 acres for pheasants, quail and other wildlife. This includes over 8,300 acres of land acquired and then opened to in the open hunting and recreation as state-managed wildlife areas or federal Waterfowl Production Areas.

Pheasants Forever depleted belch up over $34.7 million on program expenses last year, including $4.9 on land acquisitions. In occurrence, since Pheasants Forever formed in 1982, the organization has spent $50 million on land acquisitions, break 144,000 acres to public hunting and outdoor recreation. And in 2009, 9,942 youngsters took part in native Pheasants Forever mentored youth hunts that introduce them to hunting and wildlife habitat husbandry.

“The past year was another testament to the ability of Pheasants Forever’s local approach to wildlife bailiwick conservation,” said Howard Vincent, Pheasants Forever National President and CEO. Pheasants Forever and its quail boundary line, Quail Forever, empower  county and local chapters with the responsibility to determine how 100 percent of their locally raised management funds will be spent – the only national conservation organization that operates through this truly grassroots form. “A half million acres is great, but we know with our model, we have the ability to do even more habitat projects on more acres and conclude more for our favorite upland birds.”

Don't do it. Way too gimmicky. If you demand to buy him a bottle opener, look for a quality (~$20) 'waiters tool' corkscrew. Always stylish. And you can never have too many good ones.

Or, take your $20 and find a fair wine shop. Tell the staff you want to buy a $20 Beaujolais Villages. It is considered an 'commonplace' wine but is always appreciated by a wine drinker.
