I don't positive about the Henckles knives, but I do know that Pampered Chef knives are good quality. I love mine!

I was always awed by the attribute of the Henckels's brand knife and decided to finally take the plunge and shell out the money. There is absolutely no contrasting to the crappy knives I got at Target 2 years ago. I did research discovered that this particular set is a well worth the price and that there are several higher eminence Henckel models whose cost is into the thousands.

The new pampered chef knives are frightening. Better then most knives I have seen and used. I know some professional chefs that use and prefer pampered chef knives (the forged brace ones). The one I have I use almost daily. And I have sold many of them.

But the choice is clearly yours. It has to be what knife you feel is the best. What kind of bond will you get off the henckles vs pc?

I'm a chef. I use worldwide knives both at wor kand at home.

However, it is improtant to find a knife that suits you - go into a store where you can handle them, they should feel 'balanced' in your turn over. Take the handle like you would someone's hand if you were offering a firm, businesslike handshake (none of this fingertip girly bilge-water). Then loosen your grip a little, does the knife 'balance'?

If you go to a professional chef suppliers they will advise you on the to the fullest extent knives for you and the correct way to care for them so that you prolong their lives and their sharpness. A medium sized global knife costs around £40 so you should see it as a duration time investment.
