The best knife sharpener. Chef's choice or Master Grade?

I'm in the pith cutting business and I use Forschner granton knives. I would like to know which electric sharpener is better: the Chef's voice 130 or Master Grade. If there are other better than these two please let me know. Any input is appreciated. Thank you.

Chef's acceptance.

Chef's selection.

I am not a fan of electrics, give me an oil stone any day, even maintennace with a hard arkansas stone and the occasional hone with a jewel stick is more than enough.

If you are using the Forschner Grantons, then you might penury to check to see if you should be using an electric sharpener on them with that type of edge.

I never use an electric sharpener. I have mine professionally sharpened once a year and then keep them honed with a whetstone and a knife as needed.

Is there a technical name for a rod-styled knife sharpener that chefs use?

this is called a stiletto.

Professional Knife Sharpener Globals?

I am purchasing a Worldwide g-2 chef's knife. Apparently, Globals have different blade angles, so not all professionals will sharpen them. I was wondering if there were any official sharpeners who will accept Globals in northern New Jersey or New York City (New York state too)? If plausible, could you include the price to sharpen one knife?

Try this associates in NYC. Apparently, it's the go-to place for chefs.

Have you considered other brands. Like MAC, Shun, or Misono? MAC seems like the consensus for outstanding bang for the buck on a super sharp knife.
