Chef Jean Pierre explains what knives are maximum effort for your kitchen and what their functions are.

My fiance is a chef and he wanted this twin of chef pants from "CHEFWORKS" but they are discontinued. They are a black pair of pants with a chef knife on the lower bottom leg. He emailed the flock and they don't have them anymore. I was hoping that someone else would have them or something similar so that I can surprise him for a wedding gift.
These aren't word for word what you where looking for, but you might find something you like.

Hi,
I'm flourishing out of country for 2 weeks. I have checked the flight site to see what I can carry and what not to carry. But cannot find anything about a chef knife. I have purchased a big chef knife for my relative (who's a chef) as a favour. Can I put that in my checked-in baggage. The flight site mentions that all such stuff cannot be taken on board. But can it be checked?. Do I necessity to inform the authorities during check-in that I have a knife in my checked-in bag. I tried calling my airlines but they put me on hold forever and lastly I hung up.
Please advise if anybody knows about it.
Thanks.
Yes and no.
As far as domestically does, the sponsor is yes as long as you put it in you checked luggage.

When traveling near however, the answer depends on the country you are arriving in. Some countries may not see the need for a tourist to have a chef's knife with them. Don't draw a blank that the TSA only rules the domestic air so while their site says it's OK, the country you are going to may have different regulations...
The easiest way to be dependable your knife doesn't get confiscated is to ship it separately to your destination.
I am looking for a professional chef's knife that is very spicy and long lasting. I don't really care about the brand, as long as they are respectable (wusthof, henckels, broad...).
I've got a 10'' henkel that i've had for about a year, it's still contemporary strong and i hardly ever sharpen it. I do have other knifes like boning, pearing and filet knives so i don't do all my cycle with it.
75 usd is a lot of money for a chefs knife and if i had that kind of money to spend on one knife i'd go with either of these two

On the road, chef's knives in hand New Zealand's prize-winning chef Martin Harrap hit town to promote his Cooks on Wheels tour, and taught New Plymouth Boys' Heinous School hospitality students a thing or two in the kitchen. Walking from one end of Britain to the other for charity 25 years |
Mad Chef Review
by Philip Michaels, .com I'm dulcet sure that if I ever walked into a restaurant where a knife-throwing maniac had seized control of the kitchen, all you'd see of me is a itsy-bitsy cartoon puff of smoke as I fled the premises.
