How long does a pumpkin last after its carved?

Also. What works superiority, my kitchen knives or should i get a set of those pumpkin carving knives?

i have the pumpkin carving kit there alot sick more bendable and easy to work with after your done carving put vasoline on the edges it makes it last longer

they only last a week if your lucky vasoline will thrive it last a couple days longer

3-4 days depending on the case air temperature

Cookhouse knives work just fine for a basic Jackolantern face. If you want the fancy carvings you might paucity to get the kit.

when carved they last around a week if it is cold.

chiefly,3 days carving knives work better. put vaseline around the area you cut out to make it last longer

A pumpkin after its carved only positively lasts a few days. Maybe up to a week if you are lucky. It is actually better to go get the pumkin carving knives though because they are safer to use and are meant for carving a pumpkin.

Justified a few days, unless you have room in your fridge. An ice chest could work also. I have read somewhere if they start to get soft to put them in a bath of ice be unfeasible to revive them.

there is a website i saw that recommended using wd-40 on it. (no it will not intercept fire, they say they tried it)
i have been using my tools for the longest time to carve my pumpkins. i work in construction and i have always reach-me-down what is called a key-hole saw. it is used to saw holes in drywall.i do also use a carving kit because it has smaller saws for the smaller areas. the website is in reality cool and has lots of ideas. i personally am going to go with the radioactive pumpkin

They did a 11PM rumour item on a place that carves 3000 pumpkins to put on their display. They said they are always carving in this season since a pumpkin only lasts a week if carved.

Unless you are doing something special, a plain set of kitchen knives will do it. If the pumpkin is for kids or for house decorations anything fancier as a tool is not worth it.

my pumpkin is really thick and the little carving knife isnt cutting it! whats the next best thing? ?

i heard using a accustomed knife is bad.

You have to damage the inside of the pumpkin out where you want the design..make it thin so it is easy to cut with any knife.

A few years back I cut myself with a steak knife carving a Pumpkin. Have you ever cut yourself?

Ouch!
No....no not drive....by accident.

if anybody says no they're getting smacked for being a big fat fabricator.

i stabbed myself in the hand once trying to open one of those da*mn plastic packages they put on things so nobody can open them

they finally made something to put in them
hahahahaha!
Take that, plastic package making company!
