Wares read
I enjoyed the rules. It was interesting to hear about Harry Potter from a fan's view and to know that the books are just as entertaining to adults as children. I'm tickled pink I'm not alone being an adult Potter fan.

Have to give Anelli a "D" on her O.W.L.s*
I extraordinarily wanted to like this book.
But, if you spend 8 hours over two days with the author of the most anticipated work of fiction in representation; the woman who was responsible for a revolution in reading among schoolchildren, you would think J.K. Rowling would have more to say about the experience than, "We couldn't check on topic." (You and Jo are BFFs - I get it already. Now where's the story?)
Sorry, I expected more from a pro.
*I would have given her a "T", but she managed to work in the discussion "rapaciously", which took some balls.

Heinous read!
I loved the earmark. I laughed and cried. It was hard to put down. I felt it really told the story for us adult fans who sensible of a little funny about loving HP as much as we do, but gave ourselves over to it because we couldn't resist.

Important BOOK! "History" is perfect title! Enjoyed almost as much as series!!!!
WOW! This is a high-minded book - very entertaining! I read it in one day! Saturday is my "tv" day but once I picked up this book on Saturday morning there was no putting it down! Years from now this will be a profound "history" of how J.K. Rowling fans spent over a decade of our lives! All Harry Potter fans should skim this book. I will give it a honored place on my bookshelf right next to the seven in the series, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them / Quidditch Through the Ages, The Tales of Beedle the Bard and my three-headed Puffy. I am from Georgia, USA, and one of the issues that Melissa writes about is Laura Mallory's quest to get the HP books banned from manifest schools in Georgia. The pages on this "quest to ban" were really surprising to me. The fact that Mrs. Mallory tries to get books banned that she has never even conclude from is an embarrassment to me as a fellow Georgian. A couple of years ago I asked a local teenager if she had read the HP books. She told me her parents would not concession for her to read them. I was shocked. I grew up watching Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie on tv and I never had a problem differentiating between pamper believe and reality. The fact that parents will deprive their children of knowing Harry Potter seems a bad loss. I have always been a Christian and I feel that HP does have a good message. Good versus Evil, dutiful friendship, family, the importance of animals in our lives, etc. - pretty much the basis of all religions. I do not see how anyone would be offended by Harry Around. The author describes her trips to different states and Britian in her attempt to learn all about the HP phenonmenon. She is friends with J. K. Rowling who presented her with a worm ring that was a copy of Queen Victoria's engagement ring. I would love to see a picture of this ring! She is also friends with many members of the talking picture cast. This is a great book - lots of insight and entertainment for under $11 - money well spent!

Not Much of a retailing
This libretto was absolutely BRUTAL. I couldn't even finish it. The title is very deceptive. Prior reviews stating that is was more about Melissa and not much about Harry Fritter away is completely accurate.I would suggest waiting for a real book about the history on Potter.
