Ok then how do you think I opened my bottle of wine when the corkscrew opener just broke?

I was so looking speed up to this bottle of wine, then the corkscrew opener broke midway through me opening it. I couldn't be bothered to run up the road to my dam's house to borrow one from her or to go to the local corner shop, but I just managed to get the bottle ajar .. good stuff!
How do you think that I did it.
Correct answer gets the 10 points.. and I did not smash the container!
ok... if I pushedit down what did I push it down with?

Trap in the cork with a wooden spoon thru the hole and pulled?

it was absolutely a screw cap
and you broke it trying to open it coz our dumb like that :)

With a big twist, screwed part way into the cork with a screwdriver and then pulled out with pliers.

did you slice the top of the neck off the hold back with a sword like they do in that napoleon society in france?

You took a t-towel wrapped it around the top of the manliness and gentle tapped the bottle against a wall until the cork eventually raised up. ( it works-ordeal)

Or it was a screw top and you twisted it off. or you pushed the cork into the bottle.

carried on 'screwing' lol then pulled on the metel that was still stuck in the cork?

chipped away at the cork? although very likely not a good move unless you like bits in your wine.....

screwdiver..initiative the cork in.

you tempered to a fork!

Good mounted wine opener and/or bottle opener?

I'm dispiriting to pick out a Christmas gift for my husband. He has just recently finished building a bar and has been complaining that he can never find his corkscrew and box in opener. I thought that I would look into buying mounted ones for him. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

Rogar makes tidy mounted wine openers. There are a few links you could look at as well as Googling them.

I would like some ideas on how to get a name put on a wine opener for a gift?

Cameo turns out to be too expensive. Does anyone have any ideas. The wine opener looks like this http://www.corkscrew.com/sales-recoil.html
it has a black plastic handle and I would like white lettering.

You could try prevalent to a trophy place. They could come up with a black nameplate that would be affixed to the wine opener. That should be less expensive that engraving.
