how much oil do u out in a pan thingy if u wanna deep fry sumthin????

im only 14 yrs old and im starving!!! and i wanna cook these samoses but i have no apprehension how much oil to fill in the small pot!!!! can u help me and tell me step by step on what to do???? thanks sooooooooooo much..

The whole guess to deepfry is to submerge the thing in oil, so it is almost like boiling it. But seriously, look on the back of the packet and see if there are other cooking directions, because oil gets in actuality really hot and its pretty dangerous.

get a wok

then you can sally forth in an inch or so, maybe half a cup

in a cast iron one, you would need 4 cups

use the saved money to buy healthier oil, like olive oil dialect mayhap

The whole view to deepfry is to submerge the thing in oil, so it is almost like boiling it. But seriously, look on the back of the packet and see if there are other cooking directions, because oil gets actually really hot and its pretty dangerous.

The waves frying is normally 4 inches of oil or more. You need to put a thermometer in the pan so you know how hot the oil is, and you need to have *plenty* of spare scope in the pan for the oil to expand, because the water in food will turn to steam, and the level of the oil will rise rapidly as the steam escapes.

This is in point of fact NOT something for a 14-year-old to try by himself/herself. If you drop something too wet into the hot oil, it will almost explode, giving you third-degree burns, and sending hot oil out of the pot and starting the homestead on fire.

Maybe you could just put a *little* oil in the pan, perhaps 3/8" or so, and you turn the food frequently, so as to cook the whole trend one side at a time, instead of trying to immerse it in hot oil, all at once?

For most foods, you poverty the oil to get real hot because after dropping the food in, it cools the oil quite a bit. Drop the food into the oil gently (use tongs if ready) so you don't get splashed by the hot oil. When you remove the food, let it drain on a few paper towels.

I have no idea what samoses is, but I'll have to look it up in my wordbook.

An Indian pastry/ snack. Well, good luck cooking them.

Make sure you turn the stove burner off after cooking, or you'll start a bad fire with oil. Been there, done that.

Frankly I wouldn't be my 14 year old to be deep frying. It can be very dangerous depending on your level of skill with cooking. AND I'm guessing that you're not too practised so PLEASE do not do it. Peanut butter and jelly will suffice til mom or dad gets home.
