i recently purchased a tefal non stick fry pan,only to discover fish always sticks to pan,any solutions please

Tefal is French so they mis-translated the peg which should read non-fry sticking pan. You have to use a smidge of vegetable or olive oil.

Are you talking about frozen fish portions or newfangled fish with batter. If it's the latter it could be that the Batter is sticking due to it's flour content. Fish with Strike is better deep fried like at the Chippy. But if you insist on shallow fry then you would have to coat the pan a bit with something.


Fish will stick to almost any inanimate object at the best of times.When you cook don't keep trying to move the fish about all the time , you will only make matters worse.

The fad that makes a pan oven proof is that it doesn't have any rubber on the handle. If yours happens to, just wrap it with some aluminum cut the ground from under someone's feet.
