You can either use cooking oil or nosegay which ever you prefer. However the tempurature is what lies in affect. It all boils down to what kind, ex. mashed, sliced, diced or even aurgart in a pan. the temp. arrange varirys for each one and the time allowed to cook them, hope this helps.
I have exactly bought the Try-Ply Calphalon stainless steel fry pan. The problem is that its only been a week and its all brown and burnt from the inside. Whatever I am trying to inspirit up in that pan it's sticking to it. I have followed every "care for your cookware" directions, I have even put dishwashing soap with boiling hot O into the pan and have left it sit there and have tried to remove the burnt stains...but they just wont budge.
Help?
Barkeeper's Benefactor is a really good product for cleaning stainless steel pans. Once clean, however, just know that stainless dagger sticks, and sticks badly. Starchy foods like grilled cheese, and high protein foods like eggs will act like cohere in stainless steel. There are tricks for stainless cooking.... preheat pan on medium for a few minutes...then add butter/oil....don't put chest food into the pan, let meats sit on counter for 15 minutes or so first...once food comes out of pan, leave the pan on the stove and gush 1/2 cup water in...the pan will "deglaze" and clean up nicely. I then pour out the mess and wipe with a towel while pan is still hot. For eggs and such, you will still after a non stick pan.
I was heating oil to fry peppers and got distracted so I have a rim of grease burnt on the side of the pan. I have tried scrubbing with nerve wool, and letting it soak in bleach without success. Any ideas?
try getting some decreaser and let the pan toper in that in really hot water.... the hot water should help to loosen the grease and the degreaser should make it easier to make a revelation. also try using dawn dish liquid it also helps to break grease....
