Grated the cheese for my burritos and took this. I want cheese. I love cheese.
Amazing what the zest of a lemon can add to an otherwise plain recipe! Simple ingredients make their way into a lemon-poppyseed loaf perfect for midday tea.

Noteworthy set
This grater offers many discrete options for how you would like your cheese grated. It really grips the counter-top well and is easy to clean. I have not worn the single slice blade yet, but the blade feels very sharp and I imagine it works excellently like the other graters.
sudden blades slice great - should have a lid though
sufficient product - slices thru carrots fantastically -- however i was surprised it didn't have a lid to store your sliced veggies afterwards. cleans up unquestionably -- but being white - carrots permanently stain in the first use. i suggest they add a lid, and make it red or black so that carrot stains (and peradventure beets if use slice those) don't show. stores well - but the hand guard does not fit into the kit - requiring you to store it elsewhere and likely misplace it.

Gentlemanly grater but the "hand guard" is a joke!
Got this grater recently and in fact like it. The compartment makes it easy to collect the cheese. It could have been a bit wider but it works well still. The grating plates also toil well individually if you want to quickly grate cheese over food on the fly. My only complaint is with the hand guard - that music of plastic with little spikes that is supposed to grip the cheese and protect your hands as you grate. Outstanding concept but poor execution. The spikes don't really dig that far into the cheese and end up sliding off the cheese as you grate, also creating broad scratches in the process. Pretty useless for the most part.
Other than that it does its job well.

legitimate little product
This is a delicate product which works well. If you don't want to spend a lot of money for a grating system, this is the way to go. It has several options (various sizes from which to elect), works easily, allows the grated pieces to fall into the plastic container with which it comes and the blades value, compactly, inside the plastic container while not in use. It is also easy to wash and store. (Like any product with sly edges, you have to take care while washing. The self-contained storage means it takes up as little cell as possible and you won't accidentally rub your finger along an exposed blade.)

Excellent Grater Every Sold!
This grater is expert for cheeses and zest. Extremely sharp and simple to clean. Well constructed and will last a lifetime.
Friendship this little guy! Good for cheese and ginger!
This is my split second favorite non-knife kitchen product! Grates parmesean cheese with EASE like non other! And it is incredibly suggestible to clean. I have recently discovered that it does an awesome job with fresh ginger too! Makes lots of ginger vitality, so grate in a bowl if you wanna use the juice (awesome with fresh watermelon juice, the ginger gives it a superb tang.) And cinnamon... I love this. The Zyliss jumbo garlic press is my fav non-stab product BTW.Zyliss Jumbo Garlic Press with Cleaner

I have been poor to buy one of these for so long. It is so easy to use! I grate all types of cheeses but most of all it works like a charm for grating lemon and orange peel.

pick the Microplane discredit for the best graters and zesters
After using easily imitations for years, I finally broke down and bought a Microplane brand. I guess there is a reason why they are legitimate referred to as "Microplanes" on TV, instead of graters. The Microplane brand gadgets will save a lot of time in the caboose. Spend the extra couple of bucks on the real deal. You won't be disappointed.

Keeping true to his roots | Philadelphia Inquirer | 01/17/2010 Philadelphia Inquirer

At his 6-foot-yearn stand (the shortest frontage permitted in Lancaster's old Central Market), Michael Long contemplates the to be to come for his extraordinary horseradish - 48 hours old at the oldest if you buy it here, and potently pure. He wishes, in fact, that phobics who've had shelf-unchangeable mockeries, or stale product, or adulterated examples could try his precious little jars.
His grated horseradish has the face of fresh snow, fixed in distilled vinegar and a little water, no salt, even, or sugar, or flavoring of any class, $2.75 for 6 1/2 ounces; at its nasal-clearing finest for up to eight weeks. (Some major brands don't even get to the accumulate by then.)
He is the fourth-generation Long about the business, a pedestal fan his only advertising; he switches it on at strategic moments, when he's grid another root - "I grate them, I don't grind them" - sending a sharp befog over the aisle. "The weeping fan," he calls it.
He carries a few spin-offs - a zingy barbecue gravy he has been working on, a tangy cocktail sauce he supplies to local seafood and grocery stores, a hot mustard, and what his the missis, Cynthia, calls his "sneak-attack pickles," chilled, crisp, candy spears from which the hit of horseradish does not emerge until you're a few chomps into them.

How do I clean my cheese grater?!?! It just gratites my sponges and rags!?
May 03, 2006 by gsarrells | Posted in Cleaning & Laundry
All the cheese remains is left on the grater after I make dinner, and when I try to clean it, it just shredds up what ever I try to clean it with. I tried soaking it but the cheese is to slithery.
What do I do?
use a matter-of-fact soft-wire brush like the kind you use to clean a small grill with.OK?

Boozer and then clean upwards so you're not actually grating the sponge.
CarlaCCC | May 03, 2006
Wipe against the directorship of the blades. And then soak it in warm water with lots of detergent.
Dude | May 03, 2006
Wipe it in the vis- direction you grate your cheese - only one side is sharp. You should be able to glide right over it.
Soak the grater first in some warm still water & dish soap to cut some of the grease - it'll help a lot.

try brillo! or a dish engagement.. you know the brushes used to clean dishes those work pretty well.. and don't go the direction you would go to vex cheese. go the other way so the grater doesn't grate
keelahkat | May 03, 2006
Get a indulge bottle cleaner with the brissles
therron2 | May 03, 2006
I have always let it bathe for a short time in soapy water (try using dishwasher soap as it tends to be stronger and cuts through the grease), then lawful clean it only in the opposite direction of the way you grate the cheese. This will save your sponges!
And if you have a dishwasher, just put it in there - always comes out sparkling!
jabearman | May 03, 2006
This is what you do....let it bathe for 10 minutes in the water and then use a small wired brush to clean it with. If you do not have a wire grill clean then you can use a small childs toothbrush to clean it with. If you must clean it with a rag then go in the same direction as the grain so it will not shred up the item you are using to unpolluted it with.
cherries_garcia | May 03, 2006
Wipe it on your shirt sleeve to get the big pieces off and then give it to your dog. It will be cleaned of all dregs so all you need to do is wash it in soap and warm water to get rid of the dog germs.

Before you set one's teeth on edge your cheese run the grater under water. this does not affect the cheese. If you are grating a lot of cheese you may have to do this several times. When finished flushing with hot water. It also helps to make sure your cheese is very cold.
maximus | May 03, 2006
Use your knuckles! NO, no! Hot Latin aqua will loosen up the cheese or other objects, then use a brush or a kitchen rag. If you still can't get it clean then grate some lemon. Yes, you heard me opportunely, grate some lemon, it's a great cleaner and it'll sanatize your grate at the same time.

How do you shred zucchini with a grater?
Oct 18, 2008 by Denise F | Posted in Cooking & Recipes
I need to make zucchini bread but dont have a grater how else can i shred it will a mini chopper work?
sorry WITHOUT A GRATER
Chip the zucchini using a hand-crank shredder, electric vegetable shredder or food processor. The method you on is largely dependent on personal preference. Although you can shred zucchini using a sharp kitchen blade, it is a slow process.

how do you disassemble the farberware rotary cheese grater?
Jan 10, 2007 by GalacticGal | Posted in Cleaning & Laundry
I be informed the crank comes off so that the grater part came come out, but what is the trick? It won't pull off.
If its the genre I think it is, you flip the top part of the handle up and back, then flip the top half of the cheese holder away from the handle, then the grater part should reach b arrest out, maybe with a bit of force if there's cheese caught in it.
