Parmesan is such a broke cheese, you cannot use a regular grater for this. You have to go to a gourmet shop to get the right one that will do the job.

Hysterical you should ask this question. The other day I was at Kroger and noticed that Kraft now has a wedge of parmesan with a cheese grater with it. A new product in your local grocery collection. Of course, it wasn't the kind of grater you mentioned, but it does come with the cheese...

Get your self a grater that has 4 odd sizes/textures of grating services. The one we have got has small, medium and large holes, plus a grater that can do chocolate curls.

I make up it came from a shop that sells nothing but kitchen utencils.

Do you have Crate and Barrel stores? They carry out d kill stuff like that. So does Williams-Sonoma. You could try those online, as well. Won't likely receive it for Xmas, if that's what you were intellectual, but you could try.

I hate gadgets but we use parmesan so much and I affection that grater that they use. Anyone know where I can obtain one like that? I already have a plastic one.
