how do you disassemble the farberware rotary cheese grater?

I discern the crank comes off so that the grater part came come out, but what is the trick? It won't pull off.

If its the strain I think it is, you flip the top part of the handle up and back, then flip the top half of the cheese holder away from the handle, then the grater part should pull out, peradventure with a bit of force if there's cheese caught in it.

Help me find those CHEESE GRATERS from about 20 years ago?

My parents had this cheese grater that was ALL Stainless Lift, suction mount, and various SS drums that cut the cheese in a rotary fashion. It was probably manufactured in the 70's or early 80's and for the existence of me I can't find one to buy like it. Let me know where i can find one.

Try looking at an old mall or store in your area. You'd be surprised what types of kitchen items are collected and you might stubble across the grater you are looking for. I have recaptured many items I think back on from my Grandmother's kitchen just by taking a day and going through an antique mall. It might be worth the plunge.

NKB, it's very similar to the 380cucina, but the one i'm thinking of has an all stainless plagiarize body. But the layout is exactly the same. I want the orignal, or a factory rerun of the original. Everything they remedy now-a-days is cheap and breaks.
You're close SuzanneM, but the one i'm thinking of is Freestanding. The pinchbeck is round and suctions to the counter-top to stabablize it.

look about 1/2 way down the bellman...is this one it?? It has the suction foot. Will check back for update.

I hate to say it but I have been looking for about 20 minutes now and that is the closest I have found. If you are interested in stirring, this one has the stainless body you are looking for.
