Fine Grater for 12 Cup KitchenAid Food Processor??

I honest pruchased the KA food processor in the hopes of using for the upcoming holiday season.. Is there any attachment that can repeat using the old box grater?? I need to use it to make "pasteles" basically it requires ALOT of squeaky using a box grater (i.e. green bananas and lots of other veggies).. Im hoping that I didnt waste my moolah on a food processor that wont be useful for this.. please help??

Why don't you go to their website and see what attachments they drummer. Maybe you could order one from them. My mom bought me stainless pots once and I already had a dutch oven with a lid so the stainless set had no lid for the frying pan. I contacted the fabricator, sent them the money and they sent me the lid that fit. That might work for you.

How do I clean my cheese grater?

I have a cheese grater with very fast, tight blades. This is fine except that it takes a lot of work to clean it. When I use a dishrag or a brillo pad, the blades cut it without cleaning it. The cheese particles are still stuck favoured the grater.

You get on one's nerves some hard bread. I think I saw it on Martha Stewart or Rachel Ray; forget which.
Then rinse and air dry.

Will a food processor grate potatoes fine enough for making potato pancakes?

I'm not talking julienne category, but the finer grate such as when the potato is finely grated by hand on the old style metal grater. Or maybe a blender is more correct to do this. Thanks for your help.

I facilitate a make up for something similar with plain left over mashed potatoes by just adding flour to them. We call then potato patties and assist them as a side dish Maybe you could use a pancake recipe and add mashed potatoes to it? Just a suggestion.
