Fine Grater for 12 Cup KitchenAid Food Processor??

I a moment ago pruchased the KA food processor in the hopes of using for the upcoming holiday season.. Is there any attachment that can duplicate using the old box grater?? I scarcity to use it to make "pasteles" basically it requires ALOT of grating using a box grater (i.e. leafy bananas and lots of other veggies).. Im hoping that I didnt waste my money on a food processor that wont be salutary for this.. please help??

Why don't you go to their website and see what attachments they drummer. Maybe you could order one from them. My mom bought me stainless pots once and I already had a dutch oven with a lid so the stainless set had no lid for the frying pan. I contacted the producer, sent them the money and they sent me the lid that fit. That might work for you.

If you have a food processor, then you don't need a grater, right?

I a moment ago bought a food processor from a classified ad. It was a great bargain! I'm a novice to the gadget world, so I am wondering, is this a replacement for a grater also?

Most comprehensive gets best answer.

Thanks!

Your processor should have acquire a win with the grater blade. WIch is why I think you are asking about this.

I love my grater attatchemnt on my processor if I am making large amounts of hashborwns or if I am shreeding carrots or zucchini for broads, or a lot of cheese etc....

But it is a lot of hassel if you only sine qua non to shred say one carrot or another small amount of something.

I have just a thin grader for quick things.

how to shred zucchini for bread with no grater?

I don't have a grater or food processor, so how can I rip up zucchini to make bread? Do you think instead of shredding, I could just chop into tiny pieces?

You would quite wind up with a very different texture if you tried to chop it instead of shredding it. Any large pieces would perhaps wind up at the bottom, as well.

Try using a veggie peeler, and if you don't have on of those, carefully use a sharp knife and "shave" the zucchini, angling the leaflet so you get nice thin shavings.

2 cups grated Yukon gold potatoes
2 cups grated Yukon gold potatoes Puree potatoes in a food mill or food processor. In a monstrous bowl, mix cold potatoes with all other gnocchi ingredients. Working on a flat surface with the palms of your hands, move potato mixture into tubes the diameter of a nickel.

A grater cooking experience
These graters are inveterately less suitable for softer cheeses like cheddar, which could easily clog the blade. All-purpose box graters are the most adjustable, and the type you use for grating larger quantities of food if you do not have a food processor.
