So, please nick with any suggestions on how to open a sealed shut travel mug. Thank you :)
I misplaced the issue manual for my Oxo Good Grips salad spinner. I'm concerned about how to clean the lid. I'm afraid to submerge it in water because it seems to have a concealed bounce, as well as the hand pump, brake and lock. I'm thinking about just using a damp soapy the priesthood to clean it, a damp cloth to rinse it, and a Clorox wipe to clean and disinfect the outside. Does anyone have any other recommendations or, even improved, the product manual that specifies how to clean the lid? Thanks.
The whole article is "top rack" dishwasher safe, so however you want to hand wash should be fine.
I have share washed mine and submerged it, and the lid has never held water, so it must be pretty well constructed. It is an OXO after all!
I upon a lot of appetizer trays and would like to know if the Oxo good grips mandolin would make paper thin slices of cheese and deli meats such as salami and summer and beef sausage that into in rolls. If there is another suggestion, I would appreciate any ideas.
A mandoline will exertion just fine for any of the meats you're using. The summer and beef sausages may have to be cut a little bit thicker, even-handed so they don't fall apart.
As for the cheese: it's next to impossible to get paper-thin slices of cheese, no matter what you do. You could cut it manually (with a very intense knife), but of course that will take quite a bit of time. It will help a great deal if you make steadfast the cheese is well-chilled---even slightly frozen---before you start cutting.
You might just go ahead and thin-slice the meats, and cut the cheese/s into cubes (or thicker slices). It will be much easier on you, and it will look and drop just as good.
