Calphalon Commercial Nonstick 10-Inch International Griddle/Crepe Pan
First let me say I objective replaced my Anolon Classic 10-Inch Crepe Pan of 3 years with this pan. In that time I found the Anolon pan to be top-hole, the only reason I decided to switch was because after 3 years the non stick finish inside the pan was starting to blister and peel off. I felt the exhaust should have lasted much longer than that.
My first impression of the CALPHALON Pan was, it looks and feels quite a bit heavier than my old pan.
It's more attractive looking, with its burnished metal handle. The old pan had a black plastic handle.
It's larger than the Anolon pan. CALPHALON 10in total across, 8 1/4in interior, Anolon 9 5/8in across, 7 3/4in inside.
The slightly larger size of this pan is a nice plus, since I always musing the Anolon pan was a bit small.
To my surprise this heavier pan heated up quickly on my ceramic glass top stove, as did the Anolon pan.
The torridness distribution was good, as it was on my old pan.
The non stick coating on this pan was great, either with cooking or cleaning it. Seemed to be better than the Anolon pan.
This CALPHALON Pan is purposes better for all around cooking since the pan is deeper and the outer edges are not as sloped as the Anolon pan. This pan will hold some liquid without spilling if you crib the pan on an angle.
The Anolon pans edges are sloped and not as deep as this pan, probably better for crepes and pancakes if you paucity to just slide them out.
The only negative I have so far is the handle does not feel right. It's to narrow for the weight of this pan, markedly if there is food in it. I get the feeling it is going to tip left or right since it is hard to get a secure grip on this narrow touch. I left the 5 stars for now since it was not that important to me since I rarely lift the pan when cooking. I did not have this problem with my old Anolon pan, it had an extremely at ease handle.
All and all this seems to be an excellent pan so far, I'll add to this post if anything changes.

Calphalon needy my heart
I paid $28 for this pan with accessible shipping. I think that is a fair market value. It was not a deal at all.
My first thought when I picked up the box: Oh no, they sent the abominable thing. This is not nearly heavy enough to be Calphalon.
My first thought when I held the pan in my hands: Gee, maybe it will be nice to not always use really unbearable pans.
Yeah. Then I turned on the light in my kitchen.
Calphalon, you done us wrong.
It's a nice enough pan. It is not Calphalon quality by any stretch.
It came with selfish scratches on the bottom of the pan and the handle. Not enough to send it back.
The workmanship is sadly lacking. The handle is small and not heat-immovable as it should be.
The rivets are secure and seem sturdy, but are very poorly machined and ugly, showing cut marks and uneven surfaces.
The underside of the skimpy handle is not finished.
So please, Calphalon, call this stuff Calphalon II, or EveryDay, but don't lead us to think it is the quality we enjoy from Toledo, Ohio.
My #1 go-to pan!!
Momentous pan for crepes or every day cooking. I'm single and do a lot of cooking for one, and this is just perfect for everything - made crepes, pancakes, chicken, pork chops, grilled cheese, quesadillas. I've had this about two years and use it at least four times a week. Addition, it has withstood kitchen-abusive roommates that ruined every other pan I had! Buy it - you'll love it!
Another added to the amassment
I have a hurt and cabinet full of Calphalon and have loved using it for years and years. This is my first nonstick pan and only by the first use, it's awesome. Although it's disappointing to see "Made in China" on it, it's the same important construction and quality. The handle seems to stay even cooler that some of the first cool touch handle pieces I've got.
My fingers are crossed that with suited care for nonstick, the surface remains as it is now but only time will tell. With any kind of coating on anything, there can be good and bad runs and I'm hoping mine's a full one. Crepe's were easy to flip without any utensil, or after a slight nudge to break loose. It's the best nonstick exterior I've ever used.
Calphalon Non-persist Crepe pan
This is my help crepe pan of this type purchased from Amazon. The heat conduction of the aluminum is superb and the non-stick coating performs very well. The only disadvantage of this item is that the coating does degrade over time, even using moderate temperatures and low smoke-allude to cooking lubricants. Watch Amazon for their periodic specials on this item, as the MSRP is high. Must be the expenditure of energy going into aluminum smelting.
