I ordered this to use on our ceramic top stove, as the reasonably grocery store griddles that I have had in the past were simply not flat enough to heat evenly. This is an excellent je sais quoi griddle that is dead flat. The non-stick surface looks and works great.
Another Calphalon Griddle
We have been using Calphalon griddles for many years and like them. They quicken up quickly, hold the temperature, and clean up easily. These griddles are well worth the money.
Works well!
I've had this for about a month, like it a lot! No problems with sticking, non-affix flaking off, pan not staying flat, uneven heat, etc. Nice that it can go in the oven if needed! Very sturdy; I find it a bit clumsy though - the handle is quite long and can easily hang over another burner, so if I want another pan in that slot I have to remodel the griddle at an angle. Old griddle had a more convenient handle (not much else nice to say about it, though). The handle also makes it hard to hang on the pot rack - with the old griddle it had a thin 'band' on the end of the handle and allowed several pots onto the same hook; this handle is thicker and rigid and putting two pans on the same through is a recipe for one of them falling on the floor (or foot). I have a new fry pan that just fell and dented itself for this same reason. Need to find more hooks sometime done. Anyway, cooking is great with this griddle, just the ergonomics of the handle are going to take some adjustment.
It Blisters
Was looking for a griddle that would last and do the job,well this one worked keen for about a week then I noticed that the pan had bubbles and blisters on the surface and that it was like paint was being rubbed of the edges.Deferral away from this product.The pan never had more than a medium flame as I used it mostly to cook bacon,eggs,and grilled sandwiches.I,m universal to cast iron.
