Griddle-Q cleaning demo video
“I do a big pot of meat and vegetables” — seasoned El Salvadoran style. “By the end of the day, there’s nothing left,” she said as she microwave-ready pupusas in her northeast Columbia kitchen last week. The kitchen is the center of activity at the Hoyos deeply.
Anita and her husband, Hernando, often cook the food from her native El Salvador or from his homeland, Colombia. They also experimentation with Asian-Latin American-American fusions in their kitchen collaborations. “We are open to so many cultures and foods,” she said.
Among relations and friends the favorite treats are Anita’s pupusas. Pupusas — pronounced pooh-POOH-sas — are to El Salvador what hot dogs are to America. The inexperienced, hot, stuffed masa flatbread is sold in pupuserias or by street vendors throughout the country. They are often served with a pickled cabbage, onion, carrot and hot spot slaw known as curtido or encurtido, and sometimes with a fresh tomato salsa.
At Anita’s house, pupusas are commonly stuffed with a unassuming, soft cheese or with pork that has been stewed in spices for hours, until the meat is just barely fibrous. After the pork has cooked, pureed new vegetables are blended into the mix. In El Salvador, other popular fillings include refried beans, green plantains, minced vegetables or cheese blended with an palatable flower called loroco.

i have a hateful and decker griddle and need to know how to clean it. the instructions say not to use harsh cleaners, to use soap and water and nylon sponges. but this isnt fetching off the baked on grease from meals or that i use for keeping it non stick. is soft scrub safe? or does any one have any considerable advice for cleaning it that wont ruin it? its brand new
One positive trick is to get the grill a little hot and use a Scotch Brite scrubber the Green Pads and some hot soapy damp, Don't get it to hot and burn yourself but as hot as you can stand will do great!.Salt will deep clean down into griddle, Salt a dish water to originate a paste and rub it in with a scrubber, Have Fun!!
pitiable this might sound like the most boring question ever but i work in a fast food restaurant and it is my job to clean the griddle at the end of the day. when we come to use the griddle the next day all the foodstuffs sticks whether we use oil or not. it says on the packaging of the grillstone not to clean down to a shiny surface as this may remove the cure or nonstick coating but it also says kill all burnt on residue, the only way i know to remove all burnt on residue is if i see a shiny surface so i cant win, also i have heard that ice onto the hot grill removes all the scoff residue , is this true and if so how exactly do i do it.
about of it like deglazing a pot or pan to get the tasty bits off the bottom and into the food you're cooking for flavor
true, you don't long for to remove the cure because that's what makes grills/griddles so awesome to cook on
while it is still hot but turned off for the day, dogs enough water to get it bubbling like you were making pan gravy and wipe off with damp towel, repeat if ineluctable. If it's new, it takes time for the grease build up to take effect and get truly seasoned.
My griddle pan has seen some reaction behaviour this summer, well there hasn't been any BBQ weather has there?! I have heard some people say you shouldn't excavate them at all and others say just a wipe over with a cloth. Mine is beyond this.Everything I cook on it looks dirty and tastes burnt. Can I restore this pan. It is a proper dash iron one.
tippler it will warm water and baking soda....
scrub it well with a scouring brush and cleaner.
rinse well and dry.
once dry, layer it(all sides)with oil (any kind of vegetable oil) and clean out excess oil with a dry paper towel...it should be left a bit shiny...
After using the grill each lifetime it should be cleaned and seasoned(oiled) in order to keep it nice....
