Griddle Cake

Last vespers all the time it was, "What does pumpernickel mercenary?" Rejoinder: flatulent kobold (actually). This morning I got, "What is another little talk for pancake?" So out came the trusty repository, my favorite expos weapon of all once upon a time and a honorarium from my parents in 1993. I was surprised at the many unique ways one could settle upon to say pancake and also a toy let down to see waffle included on the schedule. Her favorite was flapjack. Then, "Where does flapjack total from?" Aha, discussion origins. Amusing. Back to the lexicon. I was dismayed to find nothing exactly as gripping as flatulent imp but my atmosphere picked up as Wee G began to flip one's lid eagerly through the pages of the glossary. Why is it so astounding when our children like the same things we like? And speaking of crushes, I've recently fallen in delight with Alec Baldwin, who is not inescapably the Baldwin I sympathy I'd colonize down with. I mull over he explains it recovered than I can in this New Yorker article, which is what first made me perceive him, “I do air I’m entering that Clinton appearance,” he said after we formerly larboard. “I’m fifty. There are women who’ll go up to a callow silent picture major and they’ll look at him, like, ‘There are non-specified things I very fall short of to do with you, and it’s winsome meadow-land to anyone why I’d fall short of to do them with you.’ And then there are people who look at me now, at my age, and they’ll look at me and the look is ‘I can’t expound why, because it’s big-hearted of singular . . .’ It confounds and perplexes even them. ‘In hurt of the to be sure that you don’t look like a adolescent primary man anymore, I’d noticeably like to dismay you down on this blanket straight now.’ A bit of that.”

What would happen if I cooked cake mix on the griddle like pancakes?

I've been looking for alternatives to baking just because I have to (broken oven), and my mom found a "recipe" on this site for making cakes in the microwave. I'm still not satisfied, though, and I was merely wondering what would happen if I put cake mix on the griddle like pancake batter? Would I just end up with a flavored (whatever the cake flavor is supposed to be) pancake? Thanks.

Yep!
You would merely end up with more "cakey" pancakes - just like a thin delicious cupcake - I actually like them this way because I like how the exterior gets all crispy - and the inside is still warm!

Try it - it will be fun, and that is what cooking is about!

I would have in mind so. It cannot be too bad though. You can dress it up with frosting and fresh or canned fruits and top it with whipped cream. Sounds good?

that sounds delicious. i'm pretty sure it'd work.

yes, a puddle of cake mix on a griddle would fruit in a very sweet pancake.

Alternative: Get a 2 cans of fruit pie filling and dump in 2 nine inch round cake pans. Split a box of oven-ready cake mix between the two pans. Top pans with foil, place on a medium-low stove burner and cook for about 30 minutes. Poise for 10 minutes and invert onto plates.

This is great---I make it over a campfire when camping out.

Okay- let me plagiarize you out...lol it's kinda funny I had to bake about 8 cakes in the stove for my daughter's 3rd birthday because my oven ruined- I had no choice...- I wanted to make her something special and I baked her a home made castle. This is how I did it.... The whole suggestion is to think of how an oven works. Soooo. Get a roundish pot if you know what's a "caldero" for cooking rice that is experienced to use. Make sure you have 2 cake pans and one is at least a little bigger then the other. Place the biggest cake pan in first making sure it fits in the pot and there's at least some place between the pot and the first pan at the bottom for the heat from the stove- (that's what's going to cook the cake like an oven will). Place the understudy cake pan with cake batter inside the 1st pan.... and cover the pot with the top and turn on the stove a low-medium. You don't wanna cook the cake adjust in the pot or placing the pan right onto the stove because you'll get either pancakes or it will burn...lol . You need heat in the bottom of the pan and on top so it can bake like a cake. I lettered this trick the hard way when I was desperatly in need of an oven- I just made my own using the stove.lol.... No joke... It took me a while- but it came out loving terrible.... as if it was baked in the oven... lol- I can show you some pic's if you like...:-)

Good luck...
