Video: Scotch-Brite™ Speedy Clean Griddle Cleaning System

i have a disgraceful and decker griddle and need to know how to clean it. the instructions say not to use harsh cleaners, to use soap and water and nylon sponges. but this isnt engaging off the baked on grease from meals or that i use for keeping it non stick. is soft scrub safe? or does any one have any agreeable advice for cleaning it that wont ruin it? its brand new
One admissible trick is to get the grill a little hot and use a Scotch Brite scrubber the Green Pads and some hot soapy tap water, Don't get it to hot and burn yourself but as hot as you can stand will do great!.Salt will deep clean down into griddle, Salt a dish invalid to make a paste and rub it in with a scrubber, Have Fun!!
contrite this might sound like the most boring question ever but i work in a fast food restaurant and it is my job to clean the griddle at the end of the day. when we stumble upon to use the griddle the next day all the food sticks whether we use oil or not. it says on the packaging of the grillstone not to clean down to a shiny surface as this may remove the marinate or nonstick coating but it also says remove all burnt on residue, the only way i know to remove all burnt on dregs is if i see a shiny surface so i cant win, also i have heard that ice onto the hot grill removes all the food residue , is this true and if so how exactly do i do it.
deliberate on of it like deglazing a pot or pan to get the tasty bits off the bottom and into the food you're cooking for flavor
true, you don't hanker after to remove the cure because that's what makes grills/griddles so awesome to cook on
while it is still hot but turned off for the day, teem enough water to get it bubbling like you were making pan gravy and wipe off with damp towel, repeat if imperative. If it's new, it takes time for the grease build up to take effect and get truly seasoned.
My griddle pan has seen some spirit this summer, well there hasn't been any BBQ weather has there?! I have heard some people say you shouldn't bathing them at all and others say just a wipe over with a cloth. Mine is beyond this.Everything I cook on it looks dirty and tastes burnt. Can I restore this pan. It is a strictly speaking cast iron one.
toper it will warm water and baking soda....
scrub it well with a scouring brush and cleaner.
rinse well and dry.
once dry, coat it(all sides)with oil (any stripe of vegetable oil) and clean out excess oil with a dry paper towel...it should be left a bit shiny...
After using the grill each period it should be cleaned and seasoned(oiled) in order to keep it nice....

Hints from Heloise: What to do when the nonstick waffle iron sticks Don't develop oil on a hot griddle. This should help prevent any future buildup. DEAR HELOISE: The lady who recently wrote that she is always having to bewilder away half-used cartons of milk because she doesn't drink it fast enough should buy biotic milk. |
