I purchased a griddle pan at a city department store. When I got it home, I found that the manufacturer's sticker would not come off the bottom of the pan. I've tried waterlogged the pan in hot water and soap, scrubbing relentlessly and running it through the dishwasher. Any good ideas?

My griddle pan has seen some exercise this summer,well there hasn't been any BBQ weather has there?! I have heard some people say you shouldn't salve them at all and others say just a wipe over with a cloth. Mine is beyond this.Everything I cook on it looks dirty and tastes burnt. Can I restore this pan. It is a sensible cast iron one.

once dry, layer it(all sides)with oil (any kind of vegetable oil) and clean out excess oil with a dry paper towel...it should be left a bit shiny...
After using the grill each rhythm it should be cleaned and seasoned(oiled) in order to keep it nice....
By griddle pan i marvellous the squarish pans kinda like frying pans but with lines down them. i need to chargrill tofu and vegetables, but don't comprehend if a regular frying pan will work.
any hot pan will trade fine. you want a good hot pan so they'll get some color before cooking all the way through and getting messy. you could also put them under a broiler.
