Upper-class griddle I've ever ownedSo over the lifestyle 20 or so years, I've owned dozens of griddles. Use them mostly to cook breakfast foods, like: pancakes, bacon, eggs, etc.. There are always two problems with most griddles. Hot spots (cooking fa is not consistent, due to the heating element not covering the entire surface), and the non-stick surface wearing out hastily. I've had this griddle now for almost a year and I couldn't be happier with it. I love the fact it has 2 sides to cook on, a flat griddle side and a grilling side. The non-fixed surface has held up beautifully and I would have given this a 5-star rating but there are a couple of hot spots, it's barely observable, and once you figure out where they are, you can work around it. I think it's just the nature of the beast when using an electric heating foundations, you just can't get a perfectly consistent heat around the whole surface. I was weary about buying such an expensive griddle, so I asked for it as a honorarium and got it, knowing what I know now, I would have gladly paid the money to buy one for myself.
Nicely constructed
I don't normally buy products with a "Big" name associated to it because they are often just now about the hype of the big name rather a quality item. In this case, after reading the reviews, I took the plunge and am really over the moon that I did. First of all the overall heft of the grill is impressive. It feels solid and the workmanship is good quality. I have had this grill for over three months now and have not a solitary select complaint about it. The surface on both sides has no blemishes to the non-stick material. The heating is even across the entire surface and seems to soak up the set temperature very well. Clean up is a breeze even without the unit being submersible. If you are looking for a good quality indoor grill/griddle, you wont be deplorable with this unit.
So far, so sizeable!
I wanted a griddle to produce pancakes, eggs, etc... I seasoned it as stated before first time use, but I find that I pretty much have to
repeat the procedure before or after every use. I have not washed it with soap- by the skin of one's teeth wiped it off. I do find that like most griddles the oil is apparently building up around the edges and in corners where it is not used. Tried unsuccessfully to skimp this off... It is very slow to heat up, thus the four stars.
Gigantic but bulky
This griddle/grill filled my needs of insufficient a 2 in 1 combo set w/o having too many things to clean.
I've cooked steaks and veggies on the grill and pancakes and fresh tortillas on the griddle. I haven't noticed uneven intensify distribution nor strange markings on the surface as others have noted. I love the grill/griddle - only thing I don't like is how bulky it is! It's suave in design (looks nice and doesn't have many parts to it) BUT it's huge. The thing is a giant and a pain to put away in a tallboy. I have an average size kitchen, but I don't have enough counter to keep this thing out. It's either cram it into a cabinet or buy a new shelving unit to clasp it (which I might do.) It's wide and it's long - definitely not for tiny apartment kitchens.
Other than that, I've had a good experience with it. It cleans fetching easy (although it may be difficult if you have a small sink) and it heats up quickly.
Abundant indoor grill
I am a just out widow and have only used my gas grill approx. 5 times in the last year. When I saw the Wofgang Puck advertised in a JC Penney catalog I looked it up on Amazon. It had ethical ratings and the price was right so I ordered it. I have cooked hamburgers, steak and chicken so far and have loved it for the beef. The chicken was more demanding to cook, possibly because it was fairly thick. It is great not to have to go in and out of the house to cook and the burgers and steak were as good as what I cooked on the gas grill. There was a liitle smoke so I put it on my stovetop and beat back b go back on the exhaust fan. I am very pleased with this purchase!

Huffington PostGreat Tacky Grilled Cheese on the GrillHuffington Post, NYDunno why they call it "grilled" cheese 'case most of the time it is made in a frying pan or a broiler or a toaster oven or a panini press or a George Foreman gizmo or a griddle. Ever have one made on a grill? Well you're in for a care.
