what is the best way to season a stovetop griddle?

It is a Viking migrate. Should I use vegetable oil or crisco?

I am tellin' the really, honey. I was born a Texan and you season em' by usin' em'. That's the only way. Any oil will do. It takes outdated.

i use supplementary virgin olive oil that is always stored in a dark glass bottle. peanut oil is the best for your wok. however you might yearn for to use whatever you're actually going to cook with. and if it is cast iron never just wash it and put it away with out sauce it. i personally don't wash very often but only deglaze and season depending on the product cooked.

Steak on stovetop griddle?

Anyone skilled in any foolproof steak recipes that are used on a stove top griddle pan? If there is a site, I would appreciate it if you shared it with me. Thanks in contribute to!


I sear on each side for about 4 mins each, then move it to the oven for about another 8 mins at 475. I abhorrence cooking a steak in a pan, but that is the best way I found that worked well.

How do you cook pizza rolls on a griddle?

The archetype of griddle I have is the one that goes over 2 burners on the stovetop.
I have an oven I could use, but I thought using a griddle would make them better. I guess not.


I'd put oil on it, to frame the outsides crispy...then probably on medium heat so you dont burn the outside while the inside cooks...modify it over halfway through. I don't know how long it would take--so check them often...if you can cover it somehow, it might make them cook a little faster. They quite wont turn out as good as if you were to bake them in the oven.

Edit: The cooking directions on the bag suggest using an oven. The oven will butter up a see them crispy, whereas the microwave will make them kind of soggy.
