how to transfer a whole baked turkey from the baking pan to a turkey serving dish?

i tip last year thanksgiving, the cook asked me to help transfer the turkey from the baking pan to the dish after it was done from the oven, but when i did this, it was very heavy, and the turkey down-and-out apart in some places. is there a smoother way to do this transfer without having to lift the whole turkey, risking it to break apart? it seems if i can try to toboggan the turkey over, it would cause alot of the juices to spill all over. thanks for any advice!

I use a roasting pan that has a tray in it, upgrade the tray onto the serving plate then slide the tray out from under it.

Duty a few pieces of twine underneath the turkey prior to cooking. When it's done and time to serve, lift the twine up and around the turkey to beat a hasty retreat a lifter.

i use a tear at that slides under the turkey during the cooking process, then I let the turkey cool for a moment before I transfer it, rack and all.. you can slide the turkey right off of the beat.. you should truss the turkey before cooking and that will help it stay together.

I use 2 trifling plates (saucers) to lift out the turkey. Works great!
Just make sure it't not stuck on.
Move the plates down the side and under the turkey, and lift.

peradventure purchase a rack to put under the turkey. suggest cuttting it before transferring it.

We have a turkey lifter which fits advantaged the roasting pan . When the turkey is taken from the oven it's lifted and the juices run back into the roaster and the turkey slides off easily to a seving serving dish.

We've had it for years. Think you can still buy them in a stores kitchen gadget area

I do the weave thing too. It works well but just to be safe I have help standing by with some utensils to help me out.

You can situate kitchen twine under the bird in 3-4 places. Leave enough of the twine on both sides to come up and yoke. When the turkey is done, grab the twine pieces to transfer the bird.

You can also buy a rack made just for this purpose. You cook the turkey on the coat-rack inside the roasting pan. The sides swing freely. When the turkey is done, grab the side pieces with pot holders to transfer.

Another chance is to use the silicone gloves. They had withstand extreme heat- just pick up the bird and transfer.

We use a miniature metal rack with handles, that fits under the bird.
You could make a loop out of butcher twine, under the turkey.

Any tips for baking a turkey?

I have never baked a turkey in my soul but I've always wanted to. I'm getting a new stove so it's a good time to start I guess. Are there any tips/tricks? I by the skin of one's teeth don't want it to be awful and dry. Is a frozen turkey ok? I was going to use a self-basting bag? Do I put something on the turkey before baking?

Self basting is awesome to use!!! After cleaning the turkey cag it with butter on the outside and under the skin. Stuff it with carrots, celery, onions and fresh basil and cilantro. This will move the turkey super juicy!!! Good Luck!

Can anyone suggest good spices and seasoning to inject into a turkey before baking?

I would like to bake the turkey rather than of frying but I want to inject it with different spices any sugguestions?

bespeckle, salt, fresh garlic, rosemary and tyme and butter make a paste out of it all then introduce it ,
