Also, the grease that you would empty off from precooked meat will be on your pizza adding fat but not flavor and ruining the texture and mouth-feel of your sustenance.

Brown the sausage first,otherwise all the grease from the sausage will go onto your pizza,also if using mushroom ,brown them also,mushrooms control a lot of water and your pizza will be water logged if you do not do this.
Saute' any toppings including peppers ,onions ,etc also.
Pizza's regularly take about 20 minutes in the oven,that is not enough time to cook meats thoroughly.
