I haven't blogged in over a month and so much has changed in that beat. I have moved to Derby, England to do my MA in Art Cure. I tenderness the bishopric and the line is fast so far although it requires a lot of reading which I can't seem to persuade myself to do. What's inordinate though is that we get our own insufficient workspace to give birth to artwork which will be exhibited at the end of the passage. I have an concept for a doll vitality and i down to start working on it as on the double as conceivable. I've been working a few things that i aim to put up in my etsy peach on. I in fact apportion a larder with five other people now so baking polymer clay is not as relaxed. Also ostensibly the oven here is rare to the one i had at territory and the first continually i tried to bake clay i burned it, innards the kitchenette with evil smoke and toxic fumes! Fortunatelly they didn't rebound me out and my next attempts were a lot more booming. However i guess it will be outstrip for everyone if i don't bake clay in the shared kitchenette. I vision of maddening paperclay but i can't find any townswoman pile up that sells it here so i might have to tranquillity some online.
That's gay, I recently posted about my own polymer clay flop...same piece :) I bought a itsy-bitsy toaster oven specifically for baking clay so that fumes wouldn't be in the same oven I cook my dinner in, that might be a resolution for you but I'm as an individual hooked on paperclay and can't get myself to switch back. I decidedly honour those journals and your new dolls. The felonious diamond one is enthusiastic and I see what you miserly about the similarities...outstanding minds do ruminate over similar to one another :)

Can I bake glass mosaic pieces pressed into baking clay in my oven?
I'm doing a describe making an African clay pot with glass mosaic pieces in it. I was wondering if I could bake the mosaics with the clay in my oven
If you scurvy polyclay that is intended to harden when baked in a oven, yes. If you mean earth clay used for ceramics like a genuine African clay pot would be made of - no it requires a much higher temperature

People with experience in oven bake clay?
I'm annoying my hand at making a clay sculpture for the first time. What I would like to do is use oven (not kiln) bake clay, but for what I'm doing I would need to use metal pieces decorated in the clay. My questions is, would it still be okay to bake the clay with metal pieces in it?
Any other tips on sculpting with clay would be appreciated!
What supplies are you using?
There are some clays that are meant to be baked in an oven. You might have a problem with metal when the clay dries and shrinks. Cracks may create in the clay
There is another material Polymer Clay - It gets hard by baking in an oven. A common brand is sculpey.
