I wouldn't call to mind baking it to get a crisp skin. Duck breast will dry out pretty easily. I get the best results pan frying them. Merely cut a few slits in the skin, place skin side down in a pan over medium high heat, reduce heat, and cook for about 7 minutes. Inclination and continue for another 4-5 minutes depending on your desired level of doneness.
A balsamic reduction is permissible with this.
I've been looking for recipes, but all I can find is pan-searing or grilling recipes. Are you supposititious to bake duck breasts? I'm a lazy cook. I just like to throw food in the oven! :D
WOW!!!! Not bad...not bad at all! I truly removed the skin (it just freaked me out a little..). then cut the breast into strips. I seasoned it (possibly not enough), and cooked it in olive oil with mushrooms for about 15 min. It came out soooooo tender and juicy, and the mushrooms where ambrosial, too! Next time, I'll try some fancy sweet or spicy sauce. Thanks everyone! :D

ROASTED DUCK BREAST
Duck breasts
Flour
Salt and pepper
1 pkg. Stove Top stuffing
Roll duck in flour, sock away and pepper mixture. Brown in hot oil.
Meanwhile, prepare stuffing according to package. Put stuffing in small roaster. Grade browned duck over dressing. Cover tightly and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes

Ok folks, I impecuniousness your help! My husband bought a duck (dead of course) and I have no idea how to cook it. I assume I can bake it, but at what temperature and for how wish? It's approximately 4 1/2 pounds.
Sting the skin all over with a fork .. this will allow the fat to run out and make a crisp skin ... season it with cautiously and pepper .. Put it on a rack in a roasting pan ... Roast at 350 degrees until golden all over. In a cheek pan .. combine 2 cups of orange juice .. 1 tablespoon of shredded ginger .. 1/2 cup of pomegranate liquid or the seeds from a pomegranate .. salt and pepper to taste. .. reduce this mixture by half on usual heat. Baste the duck with this mixture every 15 minutes.
Or .. you can butterfly the duck, pour the sauce on it and unprejudiced let it bake until crisp and brown (about 1 1/2 hours).
