I ran out of room in my oven!! Can I "bake" a ham on the stovetop?

I have a fully cooked sprial ham that I need to cook and I don't have margin left in the oven. I have a big stock pot that the ham will fit into. sI there any way to make it on the stove and have it turn out like it was in the oven?

EEEWWWW friable...yuck!!! My Mom makes hers either in the oven or on top of the stove. You put in the stock pot with about an inch or two or water and keep a lid on it. keep checking the water to give rise to sure it stays at this level.
If you want something real good cook the wide noodles and add them to the pot in the ham bouillon. Let them cook for a minute or two and then serve them with the ham broth so people can spoon the noodles and broth over mashed potatoes with butter.

Your largest bet would be wait. Who cooks a ham on the stove ?

then you would be boiling it, it wont be friable on the outside

Heres what I did recently....I familiar my bfs electric skillet that has a huge lid that was big enough to cover the ham. I still covered it in foil and did it right there...it was ffreakin amazing! You can do it on the stove if you have a lid big enough to charge that fella, otherwise weight on the oven! You can always improvise, if you have your resources down. Oh and my guess is you dont have a lid that big to completely ensurface your ham...so wait

Take it out of the stockpot and bake it on its own. Use one of those roasting bags, it works the same way as a stockpot.

If you use 7 up or pinneaple fluid as part of the fluid to bake it in, the result will be soft and tender ham too. Just remember to remove the ham from the bag at the last hour to put the brown color on.

Recognize the word "cooked". This is a fully cooked ham. What you just want to do is heat it through and remodel it tender.

If you have a double boiler it might line I have never tried it. If no double boiler take a really large pan and fill with water half way sit another pan inside it that will hold the ham. Pad a layer of water on the bottom of the pan that has the ham in it. Cover entire pans with foil keep checking the water levels in the pans. I don't muse over it is going to brown like it does in the oven. But I have made whole turkeys like this and they are really tender. Good success rate

I dont muse on you can do that. Because in an oven the heat comes from the top and the bottom, but in a pot the heat comes from the bottom only.

Well I don't judge it would turn out like it was in the oven.Don't risk it!

It's a fully cooked ham, it doesn't want to be cooked, just re-heated
The easiest way to do that is to pre slice the ham
Make the classic apple cider and raisin brass
Using a baking dish place the slices in the hot sauce, arrange attractively garnish and not play tricks on
problem solved.

My whirlpool oven wont work. And i need to bake ham..PLZ HELP?

I legitimate bought a new stove and when i try to light it. It will light but it wont stay on because the knob keeps popping back up. I cant do without my oven today it xmas. Plz assistant

if MOST of the suggestions don't trade on this page try calling the whirpool. If no relief try taking off the bottom part of the oven or going thought the broiler and with a flashlight see if the thermostat is aligned over the fly flame. When you try to turn on the oven the pilot flame gets bigger. big enough to heat the end of a copper tube. That tube transmits the eagerness to a valve that allows the gas to flow and ignite the oven. if that copper tube doesn't get hot the gas will never flow and the oven wont beacon.
