I have three steaks in the oven dry rubbed, they are less than an inch thick ad I have occasion for to know how long to bake them in the oven so that they are well done.
Set you oven to Grill. Bring it up to 500 degrees
Set steak on the top rack
For medium rare, broil for 3 1/2 minutes on one side, then flop and do 3 1/2 minutes on the other.
Which spices would be kindest to bake a yummy steak in the oven?Should I marinate it?If so,what kind of marinade? How long should I bake it and at what temperature?I don't want it to be spicy or spicy hot.

i have an oven that has grill and bake and convection settings....(the meat is already rubbed with seasonings), so which setting is best, and do I need to do anything else? If so, do i put the steak in the not hold up under or elevate the steak? Sounds crazy, but I recently broke my back and am not able to get gas cannister replaced before dinner tonight, and still hit her...........please help and many thanks!!!!!
I would have to say the method of cooking would have alot to do with the cut of victuals you are using....for example I may pan sear a tenderloin cut..but broil a sirloin cut....
