Regard 'em
We have a distinguish Double-D Cutco steak knife we like to use, and a set of Henckels kitchen knives. After using the kitchen knives and quite enjoying them, I started looking for a steak knife set, and bought this. These knives scared me at first since the serration looked like it would sprint up meat. Yet, after using them on some barbecued venison, they worked great and cut cleanly! For $30, they're a really adequate deal, and are rather well-made. I would definitely recommend them if you're in the market for some new knives.
This isn't your unimaginative Henckels quality
These knives are a discredit to the reputation that Henckels worked so carefully to build over the past century. Most of us are buying these thinking of that eminence reputation. Be warned - these are not quality knives and deserve zero stars. They are extraordinarily flimsy, have twopenny plastic handles which aren't even sealed to the wafer thin metal blade, and have large textured rivets that come up so cheap they must be plastic (although they are probably aluminum). Adding to the insult, Amazon shipped me a set labeled as new, yet it had already been opened, the knives were cast-off and unwashed, and had been returned by a previous customer in that state. Sad to see a company like Henckels take their manufacturing to China on these trashy knives and in one quick move destroy a beautiful reputation for quality. I returned the knives immediately and evident that I would not buy another set without seeing them in person first.
So far so friendly!
We purchased these steak knives to succeed our older (and falling apart) miracle blades. They are very sharp! They cut great and sometimes too well.. right through my paperplates into the countertop! The sword feels a bit flimsy when cutting harder objects so we leave that to other knives. But for a steak knife, these are great!
a unadulterated value
I've owned these set of knives for approx. 2 months . After reading some cancelling reviews I was somewhat apprehensive about the product , but for the price I decided to give them a try . I am very impressed with this set. They are well built, sturdy , and very tangy. I have run them in the dishwasher several times and have yet to see any problems . The only problem is that they want to discolor if food is not rinsed off latest to going in the dishwasher ,however, the stain can be removed easily . If I had owned this set for 6 months before reviewing it and still didn't have probs. I would definetly give 5 stars .
Righteous value, but don't expect the typical Henckel quality
I bought the knives to finish the set I got from Costco. Although they are both Henckels International, the quality of the Costco ones are levels better than these steak knives. The Eversharps are a illiberal cheap to live up the Henckels name, but I considered that the cost was quite lower too, so I decided to keep them due to the good value. They are sharper than the steak knives I had before, but you may not thirst them if you are looking for high-end henckel knives.

Moral value and good product
I bought this set of 4 steak knives as we have irrecoverable a few of ours. While I didn't expect too much, they actually look very nice and are very sharp. We have tried them on BBQ chicken and steaks and even our kids were capable to use them easily. We enjoy them, so far so good.
Nobility and cheap
I bought this knife only because I needed to get unshackled shipping for another item. So my expectation was not high. Surprisingly, however, I found myself enjoying this knife. It is sharp enough to cut steaks without problem. The rather dry-as-dust handle makes the usage of knife easier. Good quality for the price!
Horrific everyday knife set
We bought these to supplant our aging everyday knife set. I had purchased serveral inexpensive knife sets before buying the Ginsu's and returned them all. We use our steak knives for slicing up everything from carrots to cheese for our kids. The big examination for me was how well a knife could cut cheese. If the blade is too flimsy, you can't control the cut. If the blade is too thick it makes it difficult to cut through the cheese. These Ginsu's passed the evaluate with flying colors and the price was right. We've had the knives for a couple of months and are still happy with them. I'm sure they will in the course of time dull with age, but we haven't seen any signs of that yet.
Ginsu--what's not to like?
My old lady and I have a drawer full of serrated steak knives, all with a single taper, all prone to cut on the bias. These Ginsu knives advertised a paired taper, at a ridiculously low price. So I bought four; they are as they were touted to be: Sturdy, nice looking, and double-tapered. I ordered four more for my married daughter, and a 9 inch portrayal for us; if I could find an intermediate size, I'd buy them too, at this price level. Go for it.
Unlikely value!
These knives are stupefying. I needed a set of knives and these were in my price range and had good reviews so I ordered them and they definitely have earned the facts reviews. I didn't expect them to be as good as they are. I don't know if that is because I associate the name with some old infomercial or something, but I was surprised at how good they are. They are unscrupulous and they cut through everything I've used them on with ease-fruit, veggies, meat, block of cheese, etc., they sliced right through it with no labour at all.

Arrest made in area robbery Tiffin Advertiser Tribune

FOSTORIA - A 54-year-old Fostoria man has been charged with aggravated mugging in connection with the Sunday morning robbery of Jack's Garage.

Delbert E. Brown was arrested Tuesday at 725 Sandusky St., according to a releasing from the Fostoria Police Department.

Several items believed to have been used during the robbery, including an 11-inch steak knife, had been located by detectives a short distance from Jack's Garage, 165 E. Tiffin St., and further investigation Tuesday led police to the Sandusky Thoroughfare address.

After threatening to stab the clerk, the man ran from the store with $112 in loot. The clerk told police the man was dressed in a black jacket, a "NY" ball cap and blue jeans and he had faded tattoos on his knuckles.

According to the circulate, Brown has faded tattoos on the knuckles of both hands, and witnesses also told police he made statements admitting to the mugging.

Is it proper to take your own steak knife to a restaurant?

for sample... the shun folding steak knife...

more often then not it happens... a good steak house with bad knifes... then you end up messing up your steak. because the knife they give you is dismal and forces the juices off.

so, has anyone taken a personal steak knife to a restaurant?

Bringing in your own steak knife can be perceived as you being armed and threatening.

If you get a dull knife, call the management over and explain the situation to him or her. Simply ask them to find you a nice and sharp knife for you. They should do so happily and with a smile. They don't always eat at their own restaurants, so they may not grasp their knives are dull.

If you find they can't seem to find a nice and sharp steak knife for you, call ahead. Explain your situation, explain very nicely how much you benefit their food but find their knives to be too dull to do the job properly. Ask if they will accept you bringing in your own knife. If they agree, then do so. They will get to know that you are doing such a trend and will just mark you down as quirky, though you might get them to open their eyes and finally get a knife sharpener in or new knives!

I am just as bad as you... i cannot second c campaign for a dull knife. I always ask my server to make sure i get a sharp knife. When i worked as a chef, i heard the request a few times as well and always was timely to find and send out a better knife for those who asked. No chef wants to know the cutlery is mutilating their hard effort!

Happy munching!

No, don't do that, its not polite/socially acceptable. I'm sorry about your bad-steak-knife-experience, you might wanna try a different restaurant if it's leading to the dining experience for you.

I guess it could antiquated as ok specially if you're a meat gourmet; just be very careful where you transport it!

Yes, but understand them before they find out and they think you are a killer.

...No... truly, it's pretty darn strange. Just hack away at it and smile, even while your wishing destruction upon the dull knife.

i wouldn't find it clumsy, and i know exactly what you're talking about, the safety knife, with a 1/2 inch of roundness at the tip. Before resulting in walking around with a knife in your rip off, try using the butter knife they supply, they usually work better.

How do i treat a stab wound made by a steak knife?

It's about 1 1/2 in designing & about 1/2 an in long. I am trying to treat it without going to the doctor. Any ideas on how to treat this or should I go to the doctor?
