Customer Reviews

Have not against it, but will not be using it!
I ordered this from another locality that showed a Porkert #10 grinder but actually sent me a Weston #10 grinder. What a horrible mistake! The grinder is sick tinned and I'm not surprised others complained about pieces of metal in their meat -- casual inspection of the grinding pane shows loose flecks of metal just waiting to come off over time.
in want quality
Fop is not sharp enough, adjustable burrs get rusty in 30 minutes if you don't dry them right away after washing. The core is poorly made, metal pieces come off. It does the job, but hard to work with.
Not as fit as we had hoped
My old man and I ordered the #10 grinder to grind venison. We read the reviews and thought it would be good enough for the few times we'd use it. As it turned out, it didn't labour very well at all. It attached easily and seemed sturdy, but the grinding itself was horrible. We bought this grinder to replace a very old one and it took us twice as extended as it did before to grind packages of venison.

On the plus side, I returned the grinder to Amazon and received a full refund, which included shipping. While the grinder wasn't chattels, we will continue to order from Amazon because of the quick and kind customer service. The packaging was also good.
Klutzy Freddie Four Fingers
I have always wanted one of these so when I got married last April I had my mate buy me one. When it arrived we immediately mounted it on the kitchen table, cut up some meat and began grinding. It took my husband only 4 minutes to cut his handle off. It was the finger next to his hole finger. I can't believe this happened. We don't have insurance for his finger and the meat was a little ruined. - Queen mother Cool
undoubtedly rough but does the job
Got the grinder recently. It is much rougher compared to the display (and the one we had many years ago), but (so far) does do job pretty well.
For the price, is a good deal.

Coleman's exit is turning point for all parties Minneapolis Star Tribune

Within hours of Standard Coleman's exit from the 2010 gubernatorial race, the effect of his decision could be felt by candidates of all stripes.

Lesser-known Republicans now have a elucidate shot at center stage, even though they lack the big bucks and cachet Coleman would have wielded.

Democrats get to vexed off a longtime nemesis, but could find DFL anger and national cash in shorter supply without one of their favorite foils.

At the struggling Freedom Party, a seasoned political staffer quickly stepped up to the governor's plate, hoping to arrest Minnesota's moderates.

Coleman's long-awaited decision, on one hand, clarifies some elements of the long-simmering governor's horse-race and, on the other, unsettles others. Even DFL Party Chair Brian Melendez had mixed feelings about Coleman's political departure.

"I was looking advance to a rematch with him simply because he's so well defined," Melendez said.

A former U.S. senator and two-time St. Paul mayor, Coleman said Monday he could have defined the race to his interest.

At what retail store(s) or restaurant suppliers around central NJ can I buy a good quality hand meat grinder?

Hi guys,

I've recently found the advantages of grinding your own meat, but I don't got the bread to go for something like a Hobart grinder, neither do I want those flimsy ones that cost around a hundred bucks. Therefore, I'd like to buy a hand grinder. However, I haven't been clever to find any retail outlets where I can buy one. Sur La Table and Williams Sonoma don't have it, so I was wondering if anyone here knows if I can buy one at a retail stock or even a restaurant supply place around central New Jersey.

If you have any information, kindly share it with me. Thanks!

I'm not in NJ but I would have a look in Wilmar and see what they have on step, or look through the Yellow Pages.

I'm in California and nicest I can do IS

Converting a hand crank meat grinder to electric?

I've got a smaller hand fanatic meat grinder. The kind that clamps onto a table, not the kind that bolts on. I also have a 1/3 HP electric motor from a dishwasher. It's stamp says it does 3450 rpms. I know that a small pulley wheel is needed on the beam of the motor and a larger pulley wheel is needed on the grinder with a belt connecting the two. I just wondered what diameter wheels are needed for the superior rpm's to operate the grinder. Also was wondering what would be the best surface to mount the two things. A piece of plywood, a 2 x 12, some 3/16 brace plate, or something else.

The motor also has a black, yellow and white wire. I take it the black is hot and white is neutral.

While I can't cure you. Any of the fine folks at these forums should be able to answer all your questions. There mostly the do it your self types. Good destiny, and have fun.

Does anyone know a good remedy to remove rust from a cast iron hand meat grinder?

Enrust is a encomiastic start after oiling and ridding of some of the rust.
