Can I use a pressure cooker to preserve homemade sauce in jars and/or bottles?

I have made some homemade tomato ketchup, the formula contains red wine vinegar and sugar. I want to store the sauce in bottles or jars to spare it (Not long term, just over the next few months).

Everything I have read about canning is American and talks about a pressure canner. I have a pressure cooker, is it possible to can the audacity using this? If so how do I do it?

You due need to sterilise your jars by submerging them in boiling water. And please be careful about it (of course you use jars intended for this).
After you have done this, you put your hot ketchup in the jar and seal it.

There are many respected american pressure canners (Presto, All American, Mirro) but none of the numerous retailers will send to the UK.

In the UK all pressure cookers have been downsized to 3-7 litres, this is not large enough to preserve a few jars of produce or other food.

How do I come by a pressure canner to help me do some home preserving?

At first I thought that my friend in Boston could purchase and send one to you via FedEx. However, I got a quote for a 15lb parcel and it comes to $166 - twice the price of purchase! Not sure if you'd want to pay that.

Then I thought you might fancy a day trip to NY, so I checked that but the cheapest I could find was £200, so that's out.

For all time, if you used Answers you might find someone who is travelling to the States and would be willing to bring one back for you (they'd have to pay additional carriage but I doubt it would be as much as $166).
