What are the advantages of cooking with pressure cooker and ordinary pot.?

Does cooking with pressure cooker adjust the taste of food?


My Mom cooked with a pressure cooker when I was growing up! The sustenance was especially tender & juicy. I think cooking it that way holds in the natural juices & in effect "steams" the foodstuffs.

A crock pot does cook very similarly - but over a much longer amount of time. Pressure cooking is quick!

For instance: It would take longer to bake a roast in the oven (at low temperature for tenderness) - which might spoil out drier. It would take longer to make a roast in a crockpot, but it would turn out nice & tender and juicy. Cooked the pressure cooker way, it would cook quicker, yet be smarting & juicy too!

Cooking sardines in a bottle inside the pressure cooker?

I'd like to skilled in how to cook sardines in a bottle or jar. I knew that it should be cooked through a pressure cooker. During cooking, do i need to completely close the bottles? I'm intellectual that pressure might break the glass bottle. keeping it open will accumulate water too.
