Does anyone out there own a Cuisinart electric pressure cooker?

If so, do you have revolt getting the lid to lock on? I mean, it seems like it is locking into place. Then when it starts to come up to pressure steam starts coming out of the steam press and then from the side of the handle and it never comes up to pressure. I have to stop it and take the lid off and try it again. Is there a trick to it or something?

i don't have a Cuisinart but have familiar alot of pressure cookers. that is a known problem with pressure cookers. i found that if i soaked my rubber gasket in hot water for 5 - 10 minutes and then wipe it off in the end good to make sure there isn't anything on it, it would seal alot better. they do take some getting used to.

Cuisinart Electric Pressure Cooker...?

I am in the light of buying one from Williams Sonoma, but I have never used a pressure cooker before.

Can anyone vouch for this machine?

Also, what all can I make with it? I am considering trying it because I basic faster ways to make healthy meals.

If you have never reach-me-down a pressure cooker, you should know that the consistency of certain foods is different from the way it turns out the old fashioned way, such as spaghetti sauce. I opinion don't care for it. I use a slow cooker. You can put your stews or sauces or roast etc... in it in the morning and put it on low and it will be ready for dinner unceasingly a once. I love it. I don't know what I would do without mine.
There are alot of easy recipe books available for slow cookers and crock pots (they are the same preoccupation) and they are usually not very expensive. Company's Coming has a really good one.
