how do i put the lid on my futura pressure cooker ?

Don't recall the brand, however all the pressure cookers I've used have a twist of the lid to connect to the pan-- which then locks the lid in place.
Look at both the lid and the pan-- see if there are "notches"-- which when matched and then lid turned, large a quarter turn, will cause the lock to occur. Locking is necessary to build up the pressure that causes the comestibles to cook quickly.

How do I cook rice in Hawkins Futura Cooker?

I puzzled my manual for this new pressure cooker. This does not come with a whistle. How do I cook rice using this cooker?

1 c. converted rice
2 c. unstintingly
2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. butter or vegetable oil

Place all the ingredients in the slow cooker, and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. Makes 2 to 4 servings.
