hubpages.com Mirro pressure cookers were at manufactured by Mirro, a US company which is known to produce various kitchen products such as ...

I was blessed enough to be given a Mirro 8 quart pressure cooker. I am familiar with smaller (4 qt.) sized ones. I did not get a chart or instructions on the pee or liquid amounts for meats, veggies etc. and the weights amounts. Could they be the same as for my 4 qt. model?
I adopt ;you are discussing the pressure cooker not a pressure canner.... they don't come in 8 qt size...
the AMOUNTS ARE Most of the time ;marked on the inside.
you should not fill a pressure cooker more than 2/3 full.

I passion my old Mirro Pressure Cooker, but, one of the cover handles is broken. I would like to find a replacement handle, or, an old lid or cooker with a handle. I have searched the web to no avail. Guess I basic to find somebody who has an old one, or, who might have old parts laying around. Thanks
Oh Young lady! I thought I could give you an answer because I have an old Mirro PC but I was wrong. My pressure cooker is real old but the serial # starts with M-05***, and yours is M-03***. I still have my Mirro Enrol and it was, at that time owned by "Betty Crocker". That might give you a clue where to look. Yours may be one that can't be arranged --- sorry because I know how much I still love and use mine to can and cook with. We both may have to replace our favorite cookware ---- done.
Good Luck!!
I was recently allowed a "Mirro" brand pressure cooker(used) it did not have an instruction booklet with it. It has no pressure gauage with it. It does have a pop-off valve and what appears to be a two part pressure regulator that fits on the top petiole of the lid. I would like to "bbq" a whole chicken in it but i'm leary of it blowing up.
Very carefully.

Forget the wings, pass the meatballs A few weeks back, Roy Loweke of Sebring asked for a technique to make pressure-cooker baked beans. Many readers replied and we ran recipes. Since then, we've had more correspondence from Winifred Pfister of St. Petersburg, Jan Baker and De Clark of Lutz, |
