Have you ever deep fried chicken in a pressure cooker? Is there a trick to it or is it easy? Got a recipe?

I be aware that Colonel Sanders is 'famous' for cooking his chicken in a pressure cooker, and it is delicious, but it seems kind of scary to try it at home. I have never used a pressure cooker, ground they seem dangerous even with regular food in them, let alone hot oil!

i've never heard of that, but I wouldn't try it since hot oil under pressure seems like an misadventure waiting to happen.

There are oceans of tips on the net for cooking with a pressure cooker. If it was that dangerous, they wouldn't sell them. It does retain the juicyness of what your cooking.
And if it was risky, do you think they would trust 16 year olds at KFC to use them?

Does anyone know how to use a pressure cooker to make "Kentucky Fried Chicken"? Do you need a special one?

My neighbor has a big one but not labled as "frying" and of progression no instructions. What pound pressure and for how long? Thanks for your help.


All you dearth to do is Deep fry lightly...Then bake for about an hour, then return to deep frying long enough to make the outsid a sparse crispy.

Beef Brisket?? Fried chicken in the pressure cooker???

Hello, I am in shortage of some help. I see this beef brisket being touted. I make a mean corned beef. How do you cook this beef brisket? Also, how do you fry chicken in the pressure cooker? Is it harmful? While I am at it, anyone know about making "blondies". I was told a long time ago they can be made with cake mix. Thanks a sort


The only procedure I have heard of for a blondie is the one I have for a "Blondie-Brownie Pie. Here it is

Serves 12
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter (cut up)
1/2 cup groaning light brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking pound
1 cup (6 oz) unswetened chocolate chips
1 Tblsp unsweetened cocoa powder
13 fun-size Snickers sweetmeats bars or other snack size candy bars
Garnish: cut up Snickers candy bars and chopped nuts

1. Covering a 9-in glass dish wih nonstick spray. Melt butter and brown sugar in a large saucepan over mean heat until mixture starts to bubble. Remove from heat and let coool 10 mins.

2. Stir in 1 egg and vanilla until blended, then stir in flour and baking what it takes until smooth. Scrape (don't spread) 3/4 cup in prepared pie plate; freeze 10 mins or until unalterable consolidate.

3. Meanwhile, heat oven to 350 degrees F. and melt 1/2 cup chocolate chips and package directs. Stir melted chips, left over egg and the cocoa powder into remaining batter.

4. Press chilled batter evenly over bottom and halfway up sides of pie laminate. Top with sinckers, then chocolate batter.

5. Bake 24 to 27 mins until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out with damp crumbs attached. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup chocolate chips in middle, let stand 5 mins until restful, then spread to blondie crust in decorative swirls. Top with garnishes before cutting in wedges.

This is very good.....can't eat principled one........LOL
