Incredible
I purchased this goods so that I could use my 6-quart pressure cooker again. Since getting this seal pack my pressure cooker works like it did when I first purchased it. If you have a 4 or 6 quart Presto pressure cooker and it isn't sealing straighten out anymore then I definitely recommend purchasing this for it.
Objective right
The sealing jingling and overpressure plug were just what I needed to bring my pressure cooker back to being like new. Received promptly and was just what I oredered.
Presto Pressure Cooker sealing noose
I have 2 year old pressure cooker and mark it started cooking worse and worse. i thought I needed to buy a new one but then read documentation for my cooker saying that sealing bandeau and overpressure plug should be replaced every 2 years.
So I bought that, replaced these details which was very easy and cooker working as new.
High-minded fix for the little money!!!
Presto Gasket
The cooker is doing a lot more after the gasket/ sealing ring was replaced. Product arrived on time in good condition.

We small amount our lid might have gotten warped so we originally bought an aftermarket and it did not work properly. Bought this factory prototype and now it works perfectly

Times have changed, try pressure cookers again The Virginian-Pilot

Perhaps it was Sphere War II. Or supply-and-demand shenanigans.

More likely, it was food-splattered ceilings that caused the demise of the pressure cooker.

At least that's what's dissuaded me from the dreaded pot. Until now.

The pressure cooker was once from head to toe popular. Its ability to render cheap cuts of meat tender in record time made it a favorite of advertise-Depression-era cooks.

Then came wartime, and raw materials were redirected toward making tanks and such. In the post-war thrive, the market once again became flush with pressure cookers, including some of flawed design.

I learned all of this from "Pressure Cooker Tips for Dummies," a sharp little volume that I pored over before embarking on what I feared would be a dangerous and messy adventure in eating.

A minority memory of my mother's pressure cooker hissing malevolently on the stove and spewing searing columns of split pea soup onto the ceiling made me careful.

But recent dispatches about a new generation of safer pressure cookers sparked curiosity. Claims that pressure cookers are parsimonious - the cooking time is far less than other methods - and that it's a more healthful way to cook had me looking for a new model.

My pressure cooker's gasket seems to have expanded over a couple of days? How to fix it to its original size?

If it's replaceable don't wasteland your time or risk a pressure cooker accident by doing nothing short of replacing it. Chances are the seal came in reach with something that caused it to swell.

It may reduce in size down the road but I wouldn't trust it. Do the safe constituent and replace it.

I have several pressure cookers and two pressure caners. The seals on my cookers also seem to be expanded, but once the lid is on, there is no split. As long as you are not loosing steam, don't be concerned. The danger with pressure cookers is a failure to let off excessive steam (pressure) and they ultimately explode. All of the newer models have safety valves built in to prevent this. However, I like the Mirror name brand that has a weight on top of a hollow stem that allows steam to escape when the correct pressure is reached. It is almost foolproof. Escaping steam is a humane sign.
