cook it for about 20 mins... and set it in the highest pressure ....
How fancy would I cook 2 turkey breast tenderloins in a electric pressure cooker. The total weight is 30 oz
pressure cookers are merry. look on the web site of the maker they should have a chart.
please be careful.
When cooking daal in the pressure cooker, every continuously the 'whistle' blows, wet daal sprays out of the top. I always rinse the daal well and only put haldi and stockpile in the cooker with the daal. After the daal sprays out, inside the cooker there's a slimy goo on top. Especially with split daals (maa, channa, toor).
Are you adding too much unworkable? Also, how long are you cooking the daal? How many "whistles"? Also, cook your daal by itself with only pani (add haldi & namak afterwards). But sometimes this happens anyway.
You can in actuality buy stainless steel lids or covers that should fit the vessels that are covering the daal. It's also how women in India can cook multiple things in a pressure cooker at once: rice in the bottom boat, cover, daal in the next vessel, cover and a few potatoes on top. Bas, all done in one round!
If you have access to an Indian store, they should have them. They actually save alot of clean up work & are inexpensive.
Check the internet if you dont have a good Indian collect nearby.
Toor daal and masoor daal cook very quickly, you could even do it on the stovetop with no pressure cooker. Maa ki daal, rajma, channa, lobia... are you dripping them overnight?
PS: Indians ALWAYS use a pressure cooker for daals, cant live without it!
Chefs struggle to stay healthy in pressure-cooker setting
"I get to hit something for a few hours three times a week," he said. "I air 100 times better now than before." TV chef Paula Dean's announcement last week that she has Class 2 diabetes shed some light on a dark corner of the restaurant industry.
